日前,由北汽集团参股的北电爱思特江苏科技有限公司(以下简称BEST)投产竣工仪式在江苏省金坛经济开发区举行。北汽集团董事长徐和谊、SK创新总管社长金俊、北京电控董事长王岩、北汽集团总经理张夕勇、SK创新电池事业代表尹礼善、北汽新能源总经理马仿列、北电爱思特(江苏)科技有限公司董事长潘金峰,常州市领导丁纯、梁一波,金坛区领导狄志强、沈东等一同出席了本次活动。
At present, the development of new energy vehicles has become an important measure for countries around the world to accelerate the transformation of the automobile industry. In order to achieve the sustainable development of the new energy vehicle industry, it is necessary to make major breakthroughs in key technologies such as power batteries. The "New Energy Vehicle Industry Development Plan (2021-2035)" which is currently being publicly solicited for comments not only proposes a clear goal of new energy vehicle sales accounting for 25% by 2025, but also emphasizes the need to make major breakthroughs in key technologies such as power batteries and drive power. It can be foreseen that a new generation of automotive power batteries with high safety, long life and strong low temperature characteristics will become the core competitiveness of the future new energy vehicle industry.
It is understood that BEST was jointly established by BAIC Group, Beijing Electric Control and South Korea's SK Group. Relying on their respective industrial advantages, they focus on the production of high-performance, ternary automotive lithium-ion cells and modules for the entire industry. The first phase of the project completed and put into production this time has a total investment of 3.8 billion yuan, and 2 power battery pole production lines and 4 assembly and capacity formation production lines will be built, with an annual production capacity of 7.5GWh. BEST has a unique lamination technology to ensure that the battery cell will not produce pole core distortion during the charge and discharge cycle, and the battery cell has a longer life and higher safety. The 811 (NCM) lithium-ion soft-pack batteries it produces will be used for ARCFOX, BAIC New Energy's high-end brand.
Xu Heyi, Party Secretary and Chairman of BAIC Group, said that the completion and production of this project not only marks a major breakthrough for BAIC Group in the layout of core battery resources for the new energy vehicle industry, but will also inject new vitality into the sustainable development of the entire new energy vehicle industry. It is also another important effort of BAIC Group to achieve win-win development of the industry and region with Changzhou City and Jiangsu Province after BAIC Changzhou Company and Beijing General Aviation Changzhou Base.
