Alibaba Cloud CTO Zhou Jingren: Welcome everyone to use Alibaba Cloud to develop their own big models

DingTalk will be deeply integrated with Tongyi Qianwen in the future, and the new function demo is exposed: automatic writing of plans, making meeting minutes, and writing of mini-programs

On April 7, Alibaba Cloud released the "Alibaba version of GPT" Tongyi Qianwen invitation test entrance, which attracted strong attention. On April 11, Alibaba Cloud launched another big move. "All software deserves to be connected to the big model for upgrading and transformation," Zhou Jingren, CTO of Alibaba Cloud Intelligence, announced at the Beijing Cloud Summit: "We will open up the capabilities of Tongyi Qianwen to help every company build its own exclusive big model!" It is reported that all Alibaba products will be connected to Tongyi Qianwen for comprehensive transformation in the future. DingTalk and Tmall Genie will be the first to be connected to the test, and new functions will be officially released after evaluation and certification.

According to the demo previewed by DingTalk on the same day, after connecting to Tongyi Qianwen, DingTalk can realize nearly 10 new AI functions, fully stimulating creativity and office productivity. Through settings similar to Microsoft Copilot's "co-pilot", users can call up AI anytime, anywhere, and start a new way of working. In DingTalk documents, Tongyi Qianwen can create poetry novels, write emails, generate marketing plans, etc., to fully assist in office work. In DingTalk meetings, Tongyi Qianwen can generate meeting records at any time and automatically summarize meeting minutes and generate to-do items. Tongyi Qianwen can also help automatically summarize the key points in unread group chat messages. The most amazing thing is that DingTalk demonstrated the scene of taking photos to generate mini-programs. By uploading a functional sketch, you can immediately generate a light application for ordering meals without writing a line of code.

According to the official preview of the demo of Tmall Genie, after connecting to Tongyi Qianwen, the new Tmall Genie becomes more anthropomorphic and smarter, with a significant leap in knowledge, emotion, personality, and memory. It supports free conversations, can interrupt and switch topics at any time, and can generate content at any time according to user needs and scenarios. For example, users can ask Tmall Genie to "synthesize a 1-hour playlist, 50% of which are rock-style songs" while running, or chat with Tmall Genie about culture and life. The new Tmall Genie can not only answer various tricky questions from children, but also create new stories about the "Big Bang" together.

In addition, Tongyi Qianwen will also be gradually embedded in Alibaba's e-commerce, search, navigation, entertainment and other scenarios. For example, in the online shopping scenario, if a user wants to have a birthday party, Tongyi Qianwen can help generate birthday activity plans and shopping lists.

Using cloud as infrastructure to help each enterprise build its own GPT

"In the future, all software will be worthy of being connected to the big model for upgrading and transformation. We will open up Tongyi Qianwen's capabilities to create its own exclusive GPT for each company. Everyone is welcome to use Alibaba Cloud to develop their own big models." Zhou Jingren said that Alibaba Cloud will provide complete computing power and big model infrastructure to enable all companies and institutions, including startups, to better realize innovation and enable China's overall AI capabilities to be comprehensively improved.

Zhou Jingren introduced that in the future, every enterprise can not only call upon all the capabilities of Tongyi Qianwen on Alibaba Cloud, but also train its own enterprise model by combining its own industry knowledge and application scenarios. For example, every enterprise can have its own intelligent customer service, intelligent shopping guide, intelligent voice assistant, copywriting assistant, AI designer, autonomous driving model, etc.

On the day of the press conference, Alibaba Cloud announced that it will jointly build OPPO's big model infrastructure with OPPO Andes Smart Cloud, complete the continuous learning, fine-tuning and front-end prompting engineering of the big model based on Tongyi Qianwen, and build AI services to serve its massive end users in the future. At the same time, many companies such as Geely Auto, Zhiji Auto, Chery New Energy, Haomo Intelligent Driving, Swire Coca-Cola, Bosideng, and iReader Technology have stated that they will explore and co-create technical cooperation with Alibaba Cloud in big model-related scenarios.

In addition to opening up the self-developed Tongyi Qianwen big model, Alibaba Cloud is also actively building an open source AI community ecosystem. In November last year, Alibaba Cloud officially proposed the "Model as a Service" concept and launched the first AI model community in China, "Moda", where developers can download various open source AI models and directly call Alibaba Cloud's computing power and one-stop AI big model training and reasoning platform. Less than half a year after its release, the total number of users of the "Moda" community has exceeded 1 million, and the total number of model downloads has exceeded 16 million times, making it the largest AI model community in China.
