In terms of bidding, State Power Investment Corporation, CRRC Corporation Limited, Power Construction Corporation of China, China Railway Corporation, China Resources, China National Nuclear Corporation, Huadian Corporation, China Southern Power Grid Corporation, State Energy Group Corporation, Energy Construction Corporation of China, and China General Nuclear Power Corporation have issued 50 bidding projects with a total capacity of about 15.14GW . Five major trends in the photovoltaic inverter bidding market in August

According to statistics from PV Headlines (WeChat ID: PV-2005), from August 1 to August 31, 44 inverter manufacturers or agents, including Zhuzhou Bianli, Huawei, Kehua, Sungrow, Sineng, Rifeng Electric, Hopewind, Ginlong , Growatt , KSTAR, GoodWe, TBEA, and Kehua Data , jointly won 21.38GW of photovoltaic inverter bidding orders in the domestic inverter bidding market .

1Zhuzhou Conversion, Huawei and Sungrow Power Supply lead the bid list

According to statistics from PV Headlines (WeChat ID: PV-2005), except for several projects where the actual bid size of the companies was not announced, the projects with confirmed bid capacity are: Zhuzhou Power Transformer won 900MW, ranking first; Huawei won 820MW, ranking second ; Sungrow Power Supply won 610MW, ranking third . In addition, Laizhou Qixiang Digital Technology Co., Ltd., Sineng Electric, Zhejiang Rifeng Electric, Shandong Huayang New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., Beijing Shuangjie Electric Co., Ltd., Zhongbei Construction (Inner Mongolia) Co., Ltd., and Guangzhou Hongwang Telecom Technology Co., Ltd. also ranked in the top ten of the inverter bid list in August.

In the inverter calibration projects in August, the calibration capacity of string inverters of 174kW and below was 5198MW, accounting for 25%; the calibration capacity of string inverters of 175kW and above was 9916MW, accounting for 47%; the calibration capacity of centralized inverters was 4050MW, accounting for 19% ; and the equipment requirements for the rest were not clear.

In terms of price, statistics from PV Headlines (WeChat ID: PV-2005) show that the lowest bid project in August was the 45 Emerson inverters transformation project of Erlian Wind Power Plant of Inner Mongolia Huadian Erlianhot New Energy Co., Ltd. The project scale is 48MW. Hopewind Electric, as the final bidder, bid 3.87 million yuan, equivalent to a unit price of about 0.081 yuan/W.
The highest bid project was the Wumulong Township Photovoltaic Power Generation Project Management Department (inverter, box transformer) of China Railway 11th Bureau Group Co., Ltd. The project purchased 220 320kW string inverters and box transformers. Yunnan Dingzhong Logistics Co., Ltd. was the first bidder candidate and bid 19.149512 million yuan, equivalent to a unit price of 0.272 yuan/W .

4 The lowest bidder accounted for 52.63%

In August, 19 projects identified two or more successful bidders, of which the first candidate or successful bidder in 10 projects bid the lowest price, accounting for 52.63%.

5. Bidding companies pay attention to inverter brands

PV Headlines (WeChat ID: PV-2005) found that in the August inverter bidding projects , many projects specified inverter brands. For example, the China Southern Power Grid's Dongguan Tangxia Town Asset Management Co., Ltd. and its affiliated companies' property rooftop distributed photovoltaic power generation project construction frame inverter procurement project (the fourth batch) clearly required the Huawei brand. Jiangxi Lekuang Energy Group Jingdezhen Supply Branch's mid-July material procurement price comparison (inverter) project required the GoodWe brand.

State-owned enterprises account for 92%, who is the winner?

PV Headlines (WeChat ID: PV-2005) found out from the public bidding information that from August 1 to August 31, 24 enterprises and a total of 88 inverter procurement projects (bids) were awarded, with a total capacity of 21.38GW. Among them, there were 74 procurement projects (bids) from central enterprises, with a total capacity of 19.68GW, accounting for 92% of the total capacity .

In terms of purchasing enterprises, 11 central enterprises including China Energy Engineering, Power Construction, Datang, China National Nuclear Corporation, China Resources, China Southern Power Grid, China Railway, China Railway Construction, China Railway Signal & Communication, Huadian, and State Power Investment Corporation have all conducted inverter procurement project bidding.

Among them, on August 3, China Energy Construction announced the final winners of the 2024 photovoltaic inverter centralized procurement. The project has a procurement capacity of 15GW and is divided into 6 bidding sections. TBEA, Sungrow Power Supply, Sineng Electric, Huawei, Hopewind Electric, GoodWe, Zhuzhou Converter, Kehua Data, Growatt, KSTAR, Rifeng Electric, Oriental Hitachi and other 12 companies were shortlisted.

In addition, Beijing Shuangjie Electric Co., Ltd., GoodWe, and Guoneng Longyuan Electric won the bids for the other two energy construction inverter bidding projects.

In August, PowerChina had 38 projects bid, with a confirmed capacity of 2166.69MW. 25 companies including Laizhou Qixiang Digital Technology, Huayang New Energy, Sungrow Power Supply, Huawei, Zhuzhou Converter, Sineng Electric, Hopewind Electric, Jinlong Technology, GoodWe, and Shouhang New Energy became the final bidders.

On August 27, China Datang Group Co., Ltd. announced the final winning results of the 2024-2025 photovoltaic inverter framework-section three distributed string inverter. GoodWe and Costar became the final winners , winning a 1GW share of the bid.

In August, CNNC Group had 7 photovoltaic inverter bidding and procurement projects finalized. Zhejiang Rifeng Electric became the biggest winner , winning the bid for the 500MWPC engineering string inverter procurement project of the II section of the 1000MW photovoltaic power generation project in the Ordos coal mining subsidence area in western Inner Mongolia, with a bid capacity of 500MW. In August, China Resources Group had two inverter bidding projects finalized, and Sineng Electric became the final winner, winning a 420MW inverter order with a unit price of 0.09 yuan/W and 0.092 yuan/W .

China Southern Power Grid There are 9 projects in this statistical period, and the winning capacity is determined to be 105.848MW. Huawei, TBEA and other companies won the bid.


On August 29, China Railway First Bureau Group Second Engineering Co., Ltd. announced the winning bidders for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region (photovoltaic modules, brackets, steel pipe screw piles, inverters, cables, curbstones, road materials) centralized procurement public bidding procurement bidding announcement NBQ-02 section. Zhongbei Construction (Inner Mongolia) Co., Ltd. became the first winning bidder, with a winning bid price of about 0.122 yuan/W.
