On December 5, the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region issued the "Notice on Several Measures to Promote the Consumption of New Energy", which mentioned:
Steadily improve the level of self-use new energy consumption
Implement pilot projects for charging infrastructure to absorb new energy, and improve the ability of emerging electricity consumption markets to absorb new energy. Focus on application scenarios such as highway service areas (parking areas), tourist attractions, and coal mining areas, make full use of distributed and decentralized new energy resources, and coordinate the planning and layout of new energy, charging and swapping stations, and energy storage facilities.
Improving the regulation capability of power systems
Improve the energy storage policy system, plan and build new independent energy storage power stations, and promote energy storage to play a role in absorbing new energy. Formulate a storage capacity compensation mechanism, improve the energy storage dispatching and operation mechanism and the electricity market trading mechanism. Build new independent energy storage power stations on the grid side, and encourage new energy storage to be converted into independent energy storage power stations on the power supply side on the premise of meeting the requirements. By the end of 2025, the scale of grid-side energy storage will reach more than 3 million kilowatts, and the scale of power supply-side energy storage will reach more than 6 million kilowatts.
