On October 31, the second phase demonstration project of the Three Gorges Energy Shandong Qingyun Energy Storage Power Station, the country's largest grid-side shared energy storage power station, was fully put into commercial operation.
The Qingyun Energy Storage Power Station is located in Qingyun County, Dezhou City, Shandong Province. It is one of the first batch of energy storage demonstration projects in Shandong Province, with a total scale of 301 MW/602 MWh. The first phase of the 100 MW/200 MWh energy storage system was connected to the grid and put into operation at the end of 2021. The second phase of the project has a construction capacity of 201 MW/402 MWh. After the power station reaches full production, it can consume about 180 million kWh of new energy electricity per year, which is equivalent to saving about 70,000 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 180,000 tons.
