The Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology held the first preparatory meeting for the establishment of the Jiangmen New Energy Storage Industry Alliance

The new energy storage industry is an important support for achieving carbon peak and carbon neutrality, and is also an important starting point for promoting high-quality construction of a strong manufacturing city and cultivating new growth points for the industrial economy. The provincial party committee and government proposed to focus on the layout of positive electrode materials in Jiangmen and other cities, and support our city in building new energy storage battery production clusters and battery comprehensive utilization clusters. In order to strive for the development of our city's new energy storage industry to be at the forefront of the province, the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, after extensive visits and mobilization of enterprises and projects in various aspects of the new energy storage industry chain, including manufacturing, application, and service, organized the first preparatory meeting for the establishment of the Jiangmen New Energy Storage Industry Alliance on the afternoon of June 29.

More than 30 people attended the meeting, including 12 multinational companies, leading enterprises, state-owned enterprises, small and medium-sized private enterprises, energy storage industry chain enterprises and service providers, as well as media representatives, including Sino-Innovation Aviation, Longi Green Energy, Keheng Shares, Vertiv Technology, Hongdaxing, Wanyang Park, etc. At the meeting, everyone brainstormed and spoke enthusiastically, expounding on the importance and urgency of establishing a new energy storage industry alliance, saying that the new energy storage industry is a fusion industry that integrates and promotes each other, and is coupled and symbiotic. It is hoped that local companies will work together to close the local energy storage industry chain, strengthen the internal circulation of local companies, and widely cooperate with related companies from other places to expand the stock while strengthening the increment, strive to make some new energy storage demonstration and pilot projects as soon as possible, and plan to build photovoltaic + energy storage projects in industrial parks through crowdfunding, which can save energy, reduce costs and reduce emissions while enhancing the soft power of attracting investment. Su He, Director of the South China Region of the Energy Storage Division of China New Energy, Zhao Yongkang, Customer Director of the Government and Enterprise Region of Longi Green Energy, Tang Fen, Vice President of Keheng Industrial Co., Ltd., and Wang Lei, General Manager of Jiangmen of Southern Metropolis Daily, and other participating representatives all expressed that it is necessary and meaningful to establish a new energy storage industry alliance, and they are willing to play an active and constructive role in the alliance, work together to develop and expand the alliance, and jointly promote the high-quality development of Jiangmen's new energy storage industry.

In the next step, the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology will further go deep into enterprises and parks, widely solicit opinions from relevant departments and upstream and downstream enterprises in the energy storage industry, take multiple measures to plan the establishment of the alliance council and secretariat, and prepare for the unveiling ceremony of the Jiangmen New Energy Storage Industry Alliance as soon as possible. At the same time, relying on the alliance to strengthen the upstream and downstream supporting cooperation of the industrial chain, actively matchmaking, carry out upstream and downstream industrial chain docking meetings, policy publicity meetings, and corporate exchange meetings, promote in-depth exchanges between enterprises, promote close cooperation between upstream and downstream energy storage enterprises and leading enterprises in our city, improve the investment map of the entire industrial chain around leading projects, and promote new energy and energy storage enterprises in our city, represented by Longi Green Energy and Zhongxinhang, to achieve strong cooperation in the "new energy + energy storage" aspect, plan new product development in advance, and jointly create integrated photovoltaic storage solutions for customers; promote enterprises to cooperate with local R&D and service institutions, continue to carry out technological innovation, and actively create an innovation system with deep integration of production, learning, research and application, which will strongly support the high-quality development of our city's new energy storage industry.
