On April 7, the People's Government of Zhijiang City and the People's Government of Yingcheng City, Hubei Province, respectively signed investment and construction agreements with VMware Energy for the 300MW/600MWh energy storage power station project and the 1GWh energy storage power station project. After completion, the two energy storage power station projects will become a new highland for the development of the energy storage industry in Hubei Province, injecting new impetus into the high-quality economic development of the two places.
The large-scale shared energy storage power station jointly built by the People's Government of Zhijiang City, Hubei Province, the People's Government of Yingcheng City and VMware will integrate the decentralized energy storage resources on the power supply side, the grid side and the user side, which will change the energy consumption structure and promote the consumption of clean energy. At the same time, it can enhance the frequency and voltage regulation capabilities of the power system, strongly support the safe and stable operation of the power grid, and has dual significance for the high-quality development of the local economy and the transformation of the energy structure.
After the signing of the investment and construction agreement, VMware will give full play to its comprehensive advantages, work with multiple strategic partners in the new energy field, and work with the two local governments to quickly promote the implementation and grid connection of energy storage power stations. In the future, as the country's dual-carbon strategy gradually advances, VMware will actively participate in the economic construction of more places, and work with the government and partners to contribute to the high-quality development of the economy and the transformation of the energy structure.
