On February 3, the Hubei Provincial Energy Bureau issued the "Notice of the Provincial Energy Bureau on Carrying out Pilot Demonstration Work on New Energy Storage Power Stations". Hubei's 2023 new energy storage demonstration pilot project began to be applied for, and the application deadline is March 31.
The total installed capacity of the pilot projects is about 1GW. It is worth noting that energy storage projects using lithium batteries and sodium-sulfur batteries, as well as energy storage projects that have obtained new energy power generation construction indicators, are not eligible for the application.
