During the Fifth China International Import Expo, Shaangu Power and partners including China Energy Engineering Group signed an ordering contract for air compressor units and supporting and auxiliary system equipment for the "Hubei Yingcheng 300MW Compressed Air Energy Storage Power Station Demonstration Project", jointly promoting the high-quality development of the new energy and infrastructure industries with world-leading equipment and system solutions. Chen Dangmin, general manager of Shaangu Power, signed the project cooperation agreement on behalf of the company.
It is understood that the project uses the world's first, all-green, non-recompensatory, high-efficiency 300-megawatt compressed air energy storage technology. It is currently the only large-scale, long-term physical energy storage technology comparable to pumped storage, and is known as the "stabilizer" and "super charger" of the new power system. After the project is completed, the annual power generation is expected to reach 500 million kWh, which can meet the annual electricity consumption of more than 400,000 ordinary households. The signing of the project by Shaangu Power indicates that it has the ability to provide large compressor units, expansion generator units and compressor process system unit engineering general contracting services for advanced large-scale compressed air energy storage systems.
