At the end of May, Gotion High-tech's two major production bases in Yichun and Nanjing were put into operation. The Yichun Gotion Battery 10GWh project and the Nanjing New Energy Intelligent Manufacturing 20GWh project were completed and put into production, which strongly supported the company's overall production capacity target of 100GWh by the end of the year.
Yichun Guoxuan Battery 10GWh project put into production
On May 30, Yichun City, Jiangxi Province held a concentrated opening (completion) event for major projects in the second quarter of 2022. At the meeting, Yichun Guoxuan Battery Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Yichun Guoxuan Battery) announced that the 10GWh production line was officially completed and put into production. It took only one year from the start of construction to the start of production, setting a new "Guoxuan speed" and "Yichun speed". Yichun Municipal Party Committee Secretary Yu Xiuming, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor Yan Yun, Guoxuan High-tech Chairman Li Zhen, Guoxuan High-tech China Business President Wang Qisui and others witnessed and unveiled the Yichun Guoxuan Battery.
Guoxuan High-tech's investment plan in Yichun includes power batteries, lithium carbonate, mining and mineral processing projects, among which Yichun Guoxuan Battery is the top priority of Jiangxi Guoxuan in Yichun. Zhang Wei, general manager of Yichun Guoxuan Battery, introduced that Yichun Guoxuan Battery plans to build a 30GWh power battery project in two phases, with a 15GWh power battery production line in the first phase, and all will be put into production by the end of 2022. Among them, 10GWh will be completed and put into production in May 2022.
Guoxuan New Energy Intelligent Manufacturing 20GWh Project Starts Operation
On the morning of May 28, the Guoxuan New Energy Intelligent Manufacturing 20GWh project located in Liuhe District, Nanjing was officially put into production. With the gradual release of production capacity, the company's production capacity layout in Nanjing will increase to 30GWh.
Xia Xinmin, deputy secretary of the Nanjing Municipal Party Committee and mayor, attended and witnessed the ceremony. Li Wanping, secretary of the Luhe District Party Committee, and Li Zhen, chairman of Gotion High-tech, delivered speeches respectively. Responsible persons from relevant departments of Jiangsu Province, Nanjing City and Luhe District participated in the event.
The Guoxuan New Energy Intelligent Manufacturing Project is the third project invested and constructed by Guoxuan High-tech in Nanjing Liuhe. The main body of the project construction is Jiangsu Guoxuan New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., which will build a 20GWh power battery production project with an annual output. The land area is about 480 mu, and the planned construction area is about 220,000 square meters.
It is understood that the project was signed in June last year and started in October of the same year. It took less than 8 months from the start of construction to the commissioning of the first production line. After the project is put into production, the 30GWh lithium battery production capacity planned by Guoxuan High-tech in Nanjing will gradually reach full capacity, which will strongly support the company's overall production capacity target of 100GWh by the end of this year.
