China Energy Storage Network News: On May 16, it was learned from Xinjiang Electric Power Trading Center Co., Ltd. that from January to April, Xinjiang's electricity transmission reached 38.281 billion kWh, of which 10.454 billion kWh was from renewable energy, an increase of 1.95% over the same period in 2021. The transmission of renewable energy accounted for 27.3% of the total transmission, which is equivalent to reducing the burning of standard coal by 3.16 million tons, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 8.53 million tons, sulfur dioxide by 26,900 tons, and nitrogen oxides by 23,400 tons.
From January to April, Xinjiang Power Grid added 352,000 kilowatts of installed power generation capacity, including 108,000 kilowatts of wind power, 70,000 kilowatts of photovoltaic power generation, 50,000 kilowatts of waste heat, waste gas and waste pressure units, and 124,000 kilowatts of hydropower. As of April 30, the total installed capacity of Xinjiang Power Grid reached 108.3 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 4.17%, of which the installed capacity of new energy power generation was 37.267 million kilowatts, accounting for 34.41%. Xinjiang Power Grid ranks first among all provincial power grids in Northwest China in terms of the scale of new energy power generation.
State Grid Xinjiang Electric Power Co., Ltd. has accelerated the construction of related power transmission and transformation projects to strengthen the power grid in Xinjiang. At the end of March, the Shanshan (Tuha) 750 kV power transmission and transformation project was completed and put into operation, and the new energy power transmission capacity of Shanshan County was increased from 300,000 kilowatts to 2 million kilowatts. The company is stepping up the promotion of the Wuchang 750 kV power transmission and transformation project and the Fengwu 2-circuit 750 kV power transmission and transformation project. At the same time, State Grid Xinjiang Electric Power has done a good job in the operation and maintenance of Xinjiang power transmission channels. Since the beginning of March, it has organized special personnel to overhaul the ±800 kV Tianshan converter station, ±1100 kV Changji converter station and 25 750 kV substations and the ultra-high voltage Xinjiang section lines involved. Changji and Tianshan converter stations have achieved independent maintenance for the first time, which is conducive to building an independent maintenance team and better ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the power grid.
