State Grid's Wenzhou power supply source, grid, load and storage integration project was approved as the first batch of pilot projects of the province's new power system

China Energy Storage Network News: On March 31, the Zhejiang Provincial Energy Bureau issued the "Zhejiang Province's 14th Five-Year Plan for New Power System Pilot Construction". The representative project of State Grid Zhejiang Wenzhou Power Supply Company "Wenzhou Wencheng Western Source Grid Load Storage Integration Project" was approved as Zhejiang Province's 2022 (first batch) new power system pilot project.

It is reported that as a typical demonstration scenario of Wenzhou's "tens of millions of kilowatts" level adaptive new power system, the Wenzhou Wencheng Western Source, Grid, Load and Storage Integration Project takes "green source, smart grid, soft load and new storage" as its core concept, and constructs a modern energy system that meets the goals of "high-coupling and flexible consumption of diversified clean energy", "high-reliability and intelligent interconnection of multi-form strong distribution networks", "large-scale electricity substitution with high interactive demand response", "predictable grid disturbances with high self-healing and safe operation", and "high-precision carbon efficiency monitoring of all types of energy data". It promotes the steady progress of projects such as the interaction of sources, grids, loads and storage in multiple substations, the six-in-one energy station of "hydrogen, water, wind, light, storage and charging", 10 kV interconnected and mutual supply lines, the construction of fully-perceived smart substations, and comprehensive energy services, which will help promote the green and low-carbon supply of regional electricity, improve the level of regional clean energy consumption, and enable the green and high-quality development of the local economy and society.

Since October 2021, the Development Department of Wenzhou Power Supply Company and Zhejiang Wencheng County Power Supply Company have actively promoted the exploration and research of new power system demonstration areas, fully utilized local resource endowments in Wencheng County, innovatively proposed a new concept of "Green Water, Green Mountains and Happy Electricity" construction, and promoted the construction of demonstration projects with high standards. Taking the Wenzhou Wencheng Western Source, Grid, Load and Storage Integration Project as a demonstration and guide, we will create five zero-carbon demonstration scenarios of all-clean energy with future villages, future communities, future scenic spots, future industrial parks, and future transportation as the main body according to local conditions. We will create a new power system with all-zero-carbon power supply with the basic characteristics of clean and low-carbon, safe and controllable, mobile and flexible, intelligent and friendly, interactive and open, and promote the comprehensive green and low-carbon transformation of urban and rural production and lifestyles in all aspects.

In the next step, the Development Department of Wenzhou Power Supply Company and Zhejiang Wencheng County Power Supply Company will take this demonstration project as an opportunity to actively study the interactive mechanism of sources, networks, loads and storage in the demonstration scenarios, focus on the construction of the future zero-carbon demonstration village in Wuyang, Wencheng, and actively connect with the local government to support Wuyang Village in creating the first batch of low (zero) carbon and pollution reduction and carbon reduction collaborative pilot villages in Zhejiang Province. By taking the lead, we will gradually promote the construction of demonstration scenarios such as zero-carbon communities, zero-carbon scenic spots, zero-carbon industrial parks and zero-carbon transportation, and form replicable and popularizable typical experiences.
