BYD plans to invest 14 billion yuan to build a 45GWh power battery and energy storage system project in Nanning, Guangxi

Recently, the People's Government of Qingxiu District, Nanning City, Guangxi Province announced the "Registration Projects Handled by the Qingxiu District Development and Reform Bureau in March 2022".

The announcement shows that BYD's Guangxi Fudi's annual production of 45GWh power battery and energy storage system project is planned to be settled in Lingli Industrial Park, Qingxiu District, Nanning City, with a planned land area of ​​about 2,500 acres and a planned investment of about 14 billion yuan to build a 45GWh power battery project for the research and development, production and manufacturing of core products such as power battery cells, modules and related supporting facilities, battery cascade utilization and energy storage projects. It is planned to build mixing, coating, assembly, injection, testing, and packing workshops, and it is expected to build a plant of about 750,000 square meters. After the project starts, the construction period is 15 months. It is expected to be put into production in 2023 and reach full production within 3 years after it is put into production. After reaching full production, it will achieve an annual output value of more than 26 billion yuan and create about 10,000 new jobs.
