Huaneng's first user-side photovoltaic and storage integrated project goes into operation

On February 22, Huaneng’s first user-side integrated photovoltaic and storage project, the Jiangsu company Honeycomb Energy Changzhou Park Phase II project, was officially put into production.

The project is located at Honeycomb Energy Technology Co., Ltd. in Jintan District, Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province. It is constructed and operated by Jinling Power Plant and includes 6 MW of rooftop distributed photovoltaics and 2.5 MW/11.3 MWh of energy storage batteries.

It is reported that the photovoltaic power station of the project generates an average of about 6.0597 million kWh of electricity per year, which is equivalent to saving 1,850 tons of standard coal per year, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 4,620 tons, and reducing sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides and smoke emissions by 2.68 tons. The energy storage power station is expected to charge 76.50225 million kWh and discharge 64.6444 million kWh in 15 years, with a comprehensive charging and discharging efficiency of 84.5%.
