As the gap in upstream raw materials for lithium batteries continues to expand, new energy companies including lithium batteries have also begun to focus on the research and development and construction of sodium-ion batteries. At the CES2022 conference on January 5, Bluetti, a leading global solar product manufacturer, has developed the world's first sodium-ion battery home photovoltaic energy storage product NA300.

BLUETTI is a brand of Shenzhen Delan Minghai, a leading global manufacturer of solar facilities, including solar generators, photovoltaic panels and other such products. Its dynamic residential power stations, AC200P, EP500 and AC300, launched in the past two years, stand out in the promising solar energy solutions market.

Now it has ventured into integrating its innovative sodium-ion battery technology into its upcoming solar products. This is because the two metals have similar chemical properties. In addition, compared to lithium, the earth's sodium content is more than a thousand times higher, making the material more accessible.

Now Bluetti has released its new NA300 sodium-ion solar generator, which is based on the company’s newly developed sodium-based battery technology. It also launched a compatible nanobattery pack, the B480.

This sodium-ion battery is much safer than lithium-ion batteries. It is guaranteed not to catch fire or explode under extreme conditions. It is also more durable and more environmentally friendly. The NA300 has a designed service life of 12 years. It is equipped with a sodium-ion BMS designed by Platinum, which can increase the service life of the sodium-ion battery to 10,000 times and can be charged and discharged at low temperatures of -25°C.

As the supplier of DeLan Minghai energy storage equipment plugs, AMS energy storage power plugs are made of V0 flame retardant materials. Each connector is a V0 flame retardant plug, which is safer. The contacts are made of brass and real gold and are designed as copper rod columns. The real materials greatly reduce the resistance of the connector itself. It can be used in high and low temperature environments of -20℃-120℃!

The new NA300 can be called the fastest charging solar generator because it can charge from 0-80% in 30 minutes. This is mainly because it uses 6000W AC+PV dual charging technology to quickly obtain power from solar energy. At the same time, the use of low-resistance connectors allows the current to pass through with almost zero loss, making the device run faster and more efficiently.

In addition, the sodium-ion battery pack capacity retention rate of NA300 and B480 exceeds 85%, and the integration efficiency exceeds 80% in low-temperature environments. However, sodium-ion still has limitations compared to lithium-ion. For example, the maximum capacity provided by NA300 is 3000Wh, which is much lower than the 5100Wh capacity of the company's lithium-ion-based EP500 Pro generator. That is, at the same size, the capacity of the sodium-ion NA300 is relatively small.

Nevertheless, users can combine two B480 battery modules, each with a capacity of 4,800 Wh, to get a total of up to 12,600 Wh of emergency power. When the power goes out, this can provide emergency power for an average household for up to two weeks. As for the price of the sodium-ion solar generator, there is no information yet.
