Xinhua Power Shuozhou 300MW/600MWh Shared Energy Storage Project held a groundbreaking ceremony

On September 14, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Xinhua Power (Shuozhou) 300MW/600MWh shared energy storage project was held in Huairen County, Shuozhou City, Shanxi Province. Li Yanpo, deputy general manager of Xinhua Power Generation, Liu Liang, deputy mayor of Shuozhou City, Ding Yu, secretary of the Huairen Municipal Party Committee, and Li Hui, deputy mayor of Huairen City, attended the project groundbreaking ceremony.

Zhu Hong, deputy director of the Second Academy of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation, Zhang Tao, deputy general manager of China Water Resources and Hydropower No. 11 Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd., and Chen Shuyu, vice president of Shanghai Electric Power Transmission and Distribution Group Co., Ltd. attended the groundbreaking ceremony. More than 100 representatives from the construction units and projects participated in the groundbreaking ceremony.

The official launch of the Shuozhou 300MW/600MWh shared energy storage project marks another new breakthrough for Xinhua Power Generation in the field of new energy development. It is a concrete practice of Xinhua Power Generation's in-depth study of the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's "July 1" important speech, the implementation of the business philosophy of "utmost sincerity and trustworthiness, pragmatism and precision", and the realization of the "dual carbon" goal. The system includes 120 2.5MW/5MWh box-type energy storage units, with a construction period of 12 months. The static investment of the project is 1.2 billion.
