During the 75th United Nations General Assembly, my country proposed "striving to peak carbon dioxide emissions before 2030, and strive to achieve carbon neutrality before 2060." This is not only my country's commitment to the international community, but also a mobilization order for the country.
Indeed, in recent years, with the rapid development of my country's social economy, energy consumption has continued to grow, and the resulting environmental pollution and shortage of traditional energy supply have become issues of particular concern to my country. Among them, a series of problems caused by the large-scale use of fossil fuels are particularly serious. Global warming, frequent haze weather and other problems have had an adverse impact on people's travel and health. The emergence of new energy has effectively alleviated the current unfavorable situation, but the progress and development of society has put forward higher requirements for the development of new energy. Promoting the development of new energy industry, optimizing the energy structure, and increasing the supply of new energy have become a sure thing.
In mid-2021, the news that Hangzhou Boiler Group and Zhejiang Zhongkong Solar Technology Co., Ltd. reached an agreement in Hangzhou on cooperation in molten salt heat absorbers and molten salt heat exchangers for tower energy storage solar thermal power generation projects spread like wildfire. As we all know, Hangzhou Boiler Group is a core equipment supplier in my country's solar thermal power generation and energy storage fields, and Zhongkong Solar Technology Co., Ltd. is one of the earliest companies in my country to engage in research and industrial promotion of solar thermal power generation technology. This cooperation between the two parties will play their respective advantages and jointly "help reach carbon peak and move towards carbon neutrality" and implement the "30·60" goal. It is also not difficult to see that Hangzhou Boiler Group is no longer "eager to try" in the field of new energy, but has decided to go further and further on this road.

Looking back, at the end of 2020, the Zhejiang University-Hangzhou Boiler Group Advanced Energy Joint Research and Development Center was announced to be established in Qingshan Lake, Lin'an, and signed 4 center projects on site. Taking the project "Research on Peak-shaving Technology Based on Photothermal-Photovoltaic-Heat Storage-Electricity Storage" as an example, this project targets the pain points of photovoltaic power generation, such as difficulty in energy storage and unstable power generation. Through technological innovation combining photothermal and photovoltaic energy storage, it explores the revolution in solar energy utilization and promotes the large-scale use of new energy. This move is not only conducive to the development and utilization of new energy in my country and reduces environmental pollution, but also provides a reference for the cultivation of talents in the field of new energy through complementary advantages and mutual benefit between schools and enterprises.
In June of the same year, Hangzhou Boiler Group established a branch in Chengdu, a concentration of energy industries, to absorb core talents in related industries; at the end of October, Hangzhou Boiler Group joined hands with Xi'an Jiaotong University to establish the Energy Technology Research Institute to conduct research on solid pollutant treatment technology; at the end of November, Hangzhou Boiler Group announced that it would invest 58 million yuan to establish a wholly-owned subsidiary, Hangzhou Boiler Group (Wuhu) New Energy Technology Co., Ltd.; in January 2021, the Hangzhou Boiler Wuhu New Energy and Environmental Protection Equipment R&D and Manufacturing Base project was successfully signed... Hangzhou Boiler Group has frequently made moves in the new energy field, which shows that its "ambition" is far greater than everyone imagined.
If you want to win the battle, you don't need "preachers" who "talk on paper", but "doers" who "lead by example", and Hangzhou Boiler Group has done it. In the early days, the absorber technology in the field of solar thermal power generation was a field that was strictly confidential to China. According to the 2020 annual report of Hangzhou Boiler Group, the 50MW molten salt energy storage system independently developed, designed and manufactured by Hangzhou Boiler Group was applied to the 50MW tower molten salt energy storage solar thermal power generation project in Delingha, Qinghai. At present, the solar thermal energy storage power station has been officially connected to the grid for power generation.
Today, the global energy landscape is at a "crossroads" of transformation, and the next goal of Hangzhou Boiler Group is also very clear and wise, that is, to continue to focus on new energy. According to the announcement, Hangzhou Boiler Group will focus on promoting independent innovation and open innovation, broaden the scope of cooperation, expand the depth of cooperation, and explore effective cooperation models, and strive to achieve greater technological and market breakthroughs in new energy such as solar thermal power generation, renewable energy power generation, nuclear power, and environmental protection fields such as carbon dioxide capture and comprehensive utilization, and solid waste treatment. While meeting the needs of the company's business development, it will help promote national energy conservation and emission reduction, protect the earth's ecology, and contribute to the sustainable development of human society. In the future, I believe that Hangzhou Boiler Group will bring us more surprises.
