The State Grid Corporation of China has entered the fast lane with the construction of "new infrastructure" represented by charging piles and UHV. "The State Grid will fully embark on a new journey of building an internationally leading energy Internet enterprise with Chinese characteristics." A relevant person in charge of the State Grid said recently that the next step is to fully promote the construction of the company's new digital infrastructure and create a new highland for the State Grid in "new infrastructure".
Charging pile construction presses the "accelerator"
On April 16, the Beijing Universal Theme Park public charging station project, undertaken by State Grid Beijing Electric Power Company, officially started construction.
"We will build 861 new AC orderly charging piles and 37 DC charging piles in the park." The staff of State Grid Beijing Electric Power said that at present, the parking building charging station project that started construction first in the park has installed a total of 475 new energy vehicle charging piles, which is currently the largest smart orderly charging building in China. This year, State Grid Beijing Electric Power plans to implement 2,819 charging pile construction projects, which can cover the Beijing Urban Sub-Center, the surrounding areas of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics venues, and the Beijing Daxing International Airport Airport Economic Zone.
Under the guidance of the "new infrastructure" strategy, the State Grid's new round of new energy vehicle charging pile construction is accelerating.
On April 14, the State Grid held a video conference to start the construction of new energy vehicle charging facilities in 2020, announcing that 126 demonstration projects will be built in 18 provinces (municipalities) including Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, and Shanghai, covering various types of charging infrastructure such as public, dedicated, and community. In 2020, 2.7 billion yuan will be invested in charging facility construction, and 78,000 new charging piles will be added, which is expected to drive new energy vehicle consumption by more than 20 billion yuan.
Wang Yanfang, full-time spokesperson for State Grid, said that in the next step, State Grid will further promote the construction of new energy vehicle charging piles, with the Internet of Vehicles platform as the main body and charging piles as the basis, continuously improve the platform's openness and public service capabilities, and actively introduce various types of social capital to participate through joint ventures, joint ventures, and franchising, to jointly build a national charging network and build an electric vehicle energy service ecosystem.
UHV construction is in full swing
As the "engine" driving the resumption of work and production of upstream and downstream enterprises, the State Grid's ultra-high voltage resumption of work has also accelerated.
Recently, the Hubei section of the Shaanxi-Hubei ±800 kV UHV DC project was officially started. This is the first major energy project started in Hubei Province, and it has opened the curtain for the construction of UHV projects in Hubei that will add nearly 3,000 kilometers of transmission lines and 14 million kilowatts of transmission capacity in the next three years.
"We will go all out to complete the civil construction of Wuhan UHV converter station in the first half of 2021 to ensure the overall goal of completing and putting the project into operation by the end of 2021," said Yu Bin, an employee of State Grid Hubei Power Transmission and Transformation Engineering Co., Ltd.
Since February, from Qinghai to Hebei, from Sichuan to Jiangxi...UHV projects invested and constructed by State Grid are accelerating their resumption of work and production.
At present, the State Grid is accelerating the construction of 1000 kV Mengxi-Jinzhong, Zhumadian-Nanyang, Zhangbei-Xiong'an AC projects and ±800 kV Qinghai-Henan, Ya'an-Jiangxi, Shaanxi-Hubei DC projects, which are planned to be completed and put into operation from 2020 to 2021. The State Grid will accelerate the preliminary work of 1000 kV Nanyang-Jingmen-Changsha, Nanchang-Changsha, Jingmen-Wuhan, Zhumadian-Wuhan, Wuhan-Nanchang AC projects and ±800 kV Baihetan-Jiangsu, Baihetan-Zhejiang DC projects, and strive to obtain approval and start construction this year, and complete and put them into operation from 2021 to 2023.
"At present, eight UHV projects within the coverage of the State Grid have resumed construction." Wang Yanfang said that the annual investment in UHV construction projects is expected to be 181.1 billion yuan, which will drive social investment of 360 billion yuan, with an overall scale of 541.1 billion yuan, injecting strong impetus into economic and social development.
Build an internationally leading
Energy Internet Enterprise
Focusing on the strategic goal of building an internationally leading energy Internet company with Chinese characteristics, State Grid is doing everything possible to cultivate new growth points, actively seek progress, and provide new impetus for the company's high-quality development.
The relevant person in charge of the State Grid Corporation of China said that it is necessary to make every effort to promote the construction of the company's new digital infrastructure, study and issue guiding opinions, compile a high-quality "14th Five-Year Plan" digitalization plan, reasonably arrange the scale, layout and timing of projects, and actively strive to be included in relevant national plans. It is necessary to make every effort to promote the construction of key areas and key projects such as big data centers and industrial Internet, and focus on the construction of the energy Internet ecosystem. It is necessary to integrate resources, tap potential, strengthen the cultivation and expansion of emerging digital industries, and vigorously promote innovation in business models such as basic resource and platform operations and data value-added monetization.
The State Grid Corporation of China is actively working to make breakthroughs in deepening reform. In terms of power reform, we must accelerate the construction of a unified, open, competitive and orderly national power market and improve the efficiency of power resource allocation. In terms of state-owned enterprise reform, we must focus on our main responsibilities and businesses, promote mixed ownership reform at a higher level and on a larger scale, improve the incentive and constraint mechanism, and fully stimulate the internal vitality of enterprises.
