In this context, the oligopoly effect of charging piles has become more and more obvious. Market share and financing capabilities have become important factors for companies to survive.

As of the end of 2019, there were eight charging operators with more than 10,000 public charging piles in operation, reaching 465,658, accounting for 90.17%. The top three charging operators, Teladian, Xingxing Charging and State Grid, formed the first echelon, operating a total of 356,333 charging piles, accounting for 68%. Among them, Teladian accounted for about 28%, Xingxing Charging accounted for about 23%, and State Grid accounted for about 17%.
