Ji Fengwei, general manager of Aerospace Cloud Tianzhi Company, said in an interview with a reporter from China Electronics News that now is still a critical period when the industrial Internet industry structure is uncertain, a window period for large-scale expansion and an opportunity period for seizing the dominant position. However, with the introduction of "new infrastructure", the development of the industrial Internet industry will be further accelerated, and the competition on the supply side of the industrial Internet industry will be further intensified, while the demand side of the industrial Internet industry will enjoy more policy dividends, which will be very beneficial for the early formation of scale and structure of China's industrial Internet development.
Ji Fengwei told reporters that the development of the industrial Internet is a systematic project. From the perspective of new infrastructure, investment in the construction of the industrial Internet will mainly focus on three levels:
The first is infrastructure construction. As a new type of infrastructure, the construction of the industrial Internet includes the construction of a network system represented by identity resolution, the construction of a cross-industry and cross-field platform system, and the construction of a security system from end to cloud.
The second is scenario-driven high-value applications. The value creation point of the industrial Internet lies in user-oriented applications. The explosive point of the development of the industrial Internet lies in the formation and aggregation of scenario-driven, replicable, scalable, and high-value applications. It can also draw on the experience of my country's development of the "Internet +" strategy, and use the characteristics of my country's rapid development of the Internet economy and business practices to form application scenarios and business models with Chinese characteristics.
The third is the integration of new technologies and the industrial Internet. The construction and development of the industrial Internet is not isolated, but must be organically integrated with emerging technologies such as 5G, artificial intelligence, blockchain, cloud computing, digital twins, and edge intelligence, and superimposed to form richer application scenarios.
The industrial Internet industry is developing rapidly, but it also faces some difficulties. It is reported that the main difficulties include the following:
First, the profitable business model is unclear. Compared with foreign industrial Internet platforms that focus on equipment networking and smart factory construction, due to the characteristics of China's Internet model and rapid economic development, the business model of industrial Internet platforms has also emerged in China, and has generated a variety of application scenarios such as resource allocation, capability collaboration, enterprise operation optimization, and supply chain finance. It has played an important role in promoting the popularization and application of industrial Internet platforms and formed an industrial Internet development model with Chinese characteristics. However, the profit model of the large-scale platform of the industrial Internet has not yet been highlighted, and the overall economic effect is not obvious. The problem that needs to be solved urgently is how to highlight the business value of enterprises going to the cloud on the user side, and how to realize the business model of enterprises going to the cloud on the platform side.
Second, the technical standards that can be promoted are immature. At present, the industrial Internet industry presents a competitive situation of "letting a hundred flowers bloom and a hundred schools of thought contend" with the industrial Internet platform as the core, and a competitive situation of forward-looking layout with standardization as the strategic commanding heights. Industry-related connection technologies (such as the connection and interconnection of various heterogeneous and heterogeneous devices, industrial Internet connection standards), communication technologies (such as NB-IoT, ZigBee, etc.), big data analysis, big data management platforms, edge computing, etc. have made great progress, but the industry as a whole and many fields have not formed a unified industry standard. It is still in a stage of rapid development, high-speed iteration and competitive positioning. However, compared with the advantages of relatively complete basic technology and software and hardware systems abroad, the development of my country's industrial Internet also has the characteristics of a complete industrial system, extensive Internet applications, and active investment by leading enterprises, which makes the overall development of my country's industrial Internet relatively fast, and provides a good foundation for the formation of my country's independent and controllable industrial Internet-related standards.
Third, high-value application scenarios are not prominent. At present, many industrial Internet platforms are still in the state of "old wine in new bottles". A large number of industrial Internet applications are still concentrated in traditional industrial software, intelligent transformation, MES application, and big data analysis. There are relatively few high-value application scenarios that can be quickly popularized and promoted. This has led to the challenge of "both the government and manufacturers are hot" and "one end is cold" in the promotion of the industrial Internet.
He believes that, unlike the model in foreign countries where the development of industrial Internet is driven by large enterprises, the development of industrial Internet in my country should not only pay attention to the consistency of top-level planning, but also fully combine the differences in regional economic development; it should not only focus on infrastructure construction, but also focus on high-value applications; it should not only pay attention to technological breakthroughs, but also pay attention to business models; it should not only emphasize integrated innovation of large enterprises, but also take into account the popularization of applications by small and medium-sized enterprises.
