Guangxi expands the scale of power grid construction to accelerate the consumption of clean energy

This year, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region has continued to strengthen the construction of power grid platforms, expand the scale of power grid construction, improve the power grid structure, open up high-speed channels for clean energy transmission, improve the clean energy transmission and acceptance capacity, and fully promote the consumption of clean energy.

Recently, at the site of the first phase of the Datengxia Hydropower Project, a major national water conservancy project, the 220 kV line transmission project of the Datengxia Hydropower Station of the Southern Power Grid Guangxi Power Grid Company has completed the construction of the 220 kV I line from Datengxia to Kaiyuan. At the same time, the Guangxi Power Grid Company fully cooperated to promote the construction of the Kunliulong DC project and AC supporting projects, a key national project for west-to-east power transmission, to ensure that the transmission channel is timely and unobstructed, so that clean energy can be connected and delivered, and smoothly enter enterprises, factories and thousands of households.

According to the "2020 Special Action Plan for Clean Energy Consumption" recently issued by Guangxi Power Grid Company, Guangxi Power Grid Company will coordinate the integrated development of "one network", focus on accelerating the construction of projects that are conducive to promoting the transmission, grid connection and consumption of new energy, and make up for the bottleneck problem of clean energy consumption in local areas. This year, Guangxi Power Grid Company will accelerate the construction of a number of projects such as the 220 kV Zijing substation, Xianhe substation, and Jiulong-Bangpu 220 kV line; it will deepen the government-enterprise joint power grid construction model, and combine the new era power cooperation agreement signed with each prefecture-level city to focus on solving the problem of difficult implementation of planning.

Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region will also expand the space for clean energy consumption through deepening reforms, implementing electricity substitution, and direct electricity trading. Guangxi Power Grid Company will coordinate the construction of external power supply projects for major projects to meet the electricity needs of major customers, actively implement electricity substitution, and strive to complete more than 2.5 billion kWh of electricity substitution throughout the year; Guangxi Power Trading Center will actively promote the participation of coal-fired self-provided power plant power supply load in market-oriented transactions, and guide the power supply load of coal-fired self-provided power plants to be transferred to the main power grid; further optimize the trading mechanism of hydropower and thermal (nuclear) power generation rights in Guangxi, resolve the peak load regulation contradiction in Guangxi through market means, and increase the space for clean energy consumption.
