On December 9, it was learned from the Northwest Branch of State Grid that the 750 kV Hexi power grid strengthening project stability control system had undergone rigorous testing and successfully passed the factory commissioning and acceptance.
It is understood that the stability control system is the second line of defense of the power grid, an important part of the 750 kV Xinjiang-Northwest interconnection channel, and an important guarantee for the transmission capacity of the interconnection channel. The construction and commissioning of the 750 kV Hexi power grid reinforcement project involves the upgrading and reconstruction of 20 sets of equipment in 9 substations in the security control system of the Northwest-Xinjiang interconnection project, covering the three provinces of Gansu, Xinjiang and Qinghai. Due to the tight schedule, heavy tasks and phased commissioning of the 750 kV Hexi power grid reinforcement project, the workload of the security control system upgrade and reconstruction is large, the scope is wide, the coordination is difficult, and the control plan for the transition phase of the power grid is complex. The Northwest Branch carefully organized the relevant provincial dispatching, design, construction, and scientific research units. After five months of hard work, it successfully completed the design and construction of the stability control system, phased debugging, final plan strategy analysis and calculation, and stability control program development.
This factory commissioning tested 89 items in 6 major items, including hardware equipment, channel data, and strategy functions of the 750 kV substation stability control system, to ensure that the functional strategy was fully verified. After the factory acceptance of the stability control system, the Northwest Branch completed the compilation of nearly 30,000 words of stability control management regulations, carried out 1,820 stability control setting value calculations and adjustments for 9 substations, and compiled a step-by-step stability control joint adjustment plan, laying a solid foundation for the commissioning of the 750 kV Hexi power grid strengthening project stability control system.
After the joint commissioning of the 750 kV Hexi power grid strengthening project stability control system, the 750 kV interconnection channel stability control strategy will be further simplified, the complexity of the nearby power grid operation control will be reduced, and the power grid transmission capacity will be greatly improved, which will effectively promote the new energy consumption of the Northwest Power Grid. In addition, the Northwest Sub-center is currently carrying out the final sprint of various preparations for the start-up and commissioning of the Hexi Strengthening Project to ensure that the project can be successfully put into production on schedule.
