China Energy Storage Network News: On October 23, the Central China Branch of State Grid Corporation of China completed the construction of the Wuhan site of the control cloud real-time data platform. The site collects real-time operation data of more than 8,000 plants and stations above 220 kV from 34 control agencies in the six major regional power grids of the company system.

The control cloud is an information sharing platform based on the business characteristics of the new generation of power systems, the distribution characteristics of control business and power grid energy flow and information flow. It adopts a two-level deployment method at the national (district) and provincial (local) levels to form an overall architecture of 1 dominant node and N collaborative nodes. The control cloud is divided into three parts: model data platform, operation data platform, and real-time data platform. At present, this work has been initially piloted in the national cloud and 13 provincial clouds such as Tianjin and Jiangsu, and a model data platform with centralized management, hierarchical maintenance, and global sharing has been built. The modeling scope covers power plants and substations above 35 kV, and an operation data platform with configurable exchange, monitorable status, and controllable mode has been built. More than 100 micro-applications in 9 categories such as model retrieval, geographic navigation, and intelligent search have been launched.

The real-time data platform of the control cloud has three sites in Beijing, Shanghai and Wuhan. Since April 2018, the Central China Branch of State Grid has taken the lead in the overall design of the real-time data platform and the development and construction of the Wuhan site. Over a period of more than a year, the branch collected real-time operation data of various power plants, substations, energy storage power stations, etc., integrated multiple information such as external environment, equipment ledgers, distributed clean energy power generation, etc., broke down information barriers, improved flexible scheduling and market transaction capabilities, and strongly supported various market players to participate in control and coordinated regulation, and built an ecological chain of automatic collection, value mining, and extensive services for power grid operation data, realizing the "full, fast, and accurate" collection of real-time data of 220 kV and above across the entire network.

Based on the control cloud platform, State Grid Central China Branch works closely with State Grid Electric Vehicle Company to collect data on the load side, energy storage, etc., access all types of adjustable resources to participate in the Central China auxiliary service market, and carry out ubiquitous dispatching of sources, grids, loads and storage; organize the interconnection of the provincial company's comprehensive data network with the provincial maintenance company, and carry out ubiquitous lean dispatching through the sharing of information such as equipment status and environmental meteorology, so as to achieve comprehensive risk warning and precise positioning.

This year, the Central China Branch of State Grid also actively responded to the company's requirements for the construction of ubiquitous power Internet of Things, based on the integration of existing systems and information, actively applied ubiquitous power Internet of Things technology in the field of regulation and control, and improved the regulation and control capabilities of large power grids. In promoting the construction of the Central China power peak-shaving auxiliary service market, the branch studied the use of market mechanisms to guide load-side resources, energy storage devices and other resources to participate in the operation and regulation of the Central China power grid, and achieved the coordinated interaction and mutual benefit of source, network, load and storage; in creating a lean dispatching system for the power grid based on ubiquitous power Internet of Things, a risk warning system based on ubiquitous information perception was built, and a three-dimensional pre-control system based on network, source, load and storage was improved to provide a decision-making basis for the dispatching of power generation and 597 units in 31 sub-districts of the Central China network; in improving the network security protection system of the power monitoring system, the National Power Dispatching and Control Center platform was coordinated to continuously promote the deployment of network security monitoring devices at plants and stations, and achieve real-time perception of network security situation. In addition, the branch also built a comprehensive management platform for clean energy, which strongly supported the analysis of the operating characteristics of new energy and the priority dispatching evaluation.

In the next step, State Grid Central China Branch will continue to base itself on production needs in accordance with the "platform + ecology" idea of the ubiquitous power Internet of Things, empower traditional power grids with information sharing, and continuously improve the power grid's perception capabilities, interaction levels, and operating efficiency.
