Chinese battery manufacturer and energy storage solutions provider Narada Power Co Ltd and EDF Renewables will collaborate on battery energy storage projects in China.

The Zhejiang-based company announced Thursday that the two parties have signed a new agreement, building on a cooperation agreement signed in September 2018. The deal includes the sale of a 1.5MW / 12MWh battery energy storage system in China’s Jiangsu province to EDF Renewables China.

The new cooperation agreement envisages an expansion of the functions of the aforementioned project, but no further details were provided. According to the statement, the battery system will provide a storage capacity of 12,000 kWh per day for an industrial park near Jiangsu.

EDF Renewables is a subsidiary of French electricity company EDF (EPA:EDF).
