On September 3, Dongfang Electric Corporation and China Mobile Group signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement in Beijing to jointly establish the 5G+ Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Application Research Center.

The two sides will focus on serving the national strategies of building a strong manufacturing country and a strong cyber country, accelerate the integrated development of new-generation information technology and manufacturing technology, accelerate the application and demonstration of 5G in advanced manufacturing, research and cultivate new production methods, comprehensively improve the level of intelligence in product research and development, production, management and services, and help the advanced manufacturing industry achieve digital transformation and high-quality development.

After the establishment of the Application Research Center, Dongfang Electric will carry out cooperative research with China Mobile in the fields of 5G+ advanced manufacturing technology project implementation and pilot demonstration, regional industrial Internet platform, digital operation and maintenance services, etc., to form a diversified, integrated and mutually beneficial collaborative innovation model and cooperation mechanism, with the goal of creating a leading advantage in the 5G+ advanced manufacturing industry and serving the transformation and upgrading of China's manufacturing industry to intelligent manufacturing.
