The 250MW leader photovoltaic power generation project located in Tongchuan City, Shaanxi Province, is not only the first batch of photovoltaic power generation technology leader projects implemented in China, but also the first photovoltaic super runner energy storage demonstration project in the country, and is known as the "weather vane" of the photovoltaic industry. As the exclusive provider of overall energy storage solutions, Kehua Hengsheng has made in-depth layout of the design and planning of this project. The abundant sunlight resources in the northwest are unbalanced with the load demand in the southeast, and the local absorption capacity is limited. The long-term problem of abandoned photovoltaic power and power rationing has seriously restricted the long-term development of renewable energy in the northwest. As a key solution, energy storage is deeply integrated with renewable energy such as photovoltaics to smooth output fluctuations at the operational level, improve system power generation efficiency, and promote photovoltaic grid connection and local absorption.
As a photovoltaic technology leader project, the project uses N-type double-sided double-glass high-efficiency component configuration, combined with Kehua Hengsheng's leading AC+DC side energy storage solution, which can effectively absorb the excess power generated by high-efficiency components, reduce the abandonment of solar power stations during peak sunshine hours, and promote the consumption of renewable energy; through energy storage, the system output is stabilized, the accuracy of optical power prediction is improved, and the photovoltaic output is controllable and predictable, ensuring the safe and stable operation of the power grid, and avoiding the risk of power stations being assessed by the "two detailed rules" due to power output fluctuations. In addition, the combination of component over-matching and energy storage design can also optimize the equipment utilization rate of the entire system behind the inverter and improve the overall power generation income.
In order to explore the impact of different energy storage access methods on photovoltaic power stations, Kehua Hengsheng combined its independently developed core energy storage products to divide the energy storage solution design into two access point types: DC side access and AC side access for comparative verification. For the DC side, a box-type energy storage system integrating SPT250K-H bidirectional DC converter, 500kWh battery system, and protection system is adopted; on the AC side, an AC energy storage container integrating BCS500K-B bidirectional energy storage converter, step-up box transformer, 500kWh battery system, EMS energy management system and corresponding protection system is adopted. The two solutions are compared with each other, which can provide important technical evaluation and practical verification for the application effects of different energy storage access methods.
During the same period, Kehua Hengsheng successfully won the bid for another photovoltaic technology leader base energy storage project - the Changzhi photovoltaic power generation technology leader base Licheng County 250MWp photovoltaic power generation energy storage project. It will once again serve as the exclusive energy storage system design and solution provider to layout the deep integration of energy storage and photovoltaic super runner projects.
On July 23, 2019, the Xinjiang Autonomous Region Development and Reform Commission and the Xinjiang Supervision Office of the National Energy Administration jointly issued the "List of the First Batch of Photovoltaic Energy Storage Joint Operation Pilot Projects on the Power Generation Side in Xinjiang Autonomous Region".
