On August 10, 2019, the Urban Smart Energy Charging Station located in the Urban Forest Cultural and Art Living Space in Jingkou District, Zhenjiang City officially started external operations. The project is the first fast charging station built by Zhenjiang Culture, Broadcasting and Television Industry Group (hereinafter referred to as "Zhenjiang Culture, Broadcasting and Television Group"). ABB provided 8 Terra 63Z DC fast charging piles for the project.
As one of the first national ecological civilization demonstration areas and the second national low-carbon pilot city, Zhenjiang adheres to the strategy of "ecological leadership and characteristic development" and is committed to creating an ecological and low-carbon city model. In order to support the economic development of Zhenjiang City and the implementation of Zhenjiang City's industrial upgrading development strategy, ABB (China) Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation memorandum of understanding with the Zhenjiang Municipal People's Government in September 2017. The two sides have fully cooperated in the construction of Zhenjiang's low-carbon town and the construction of Zhenjiang's electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
This time, ABB assisted SMG Group in building a "charging pile operation and management platform", enabling rapid access to equipment through ABB Ability platform docking, and providing services such as map-based pile search, online monitoring of charging piles, and charging operation management.
Zhang Bing, Chairman and General Manager of SMG Group, said that the high-quality products and services provided by ABB support us in creating the city label of "low-carbon city" in Zhenjiang, as well as promoting the application of new energy, improving energy efficiency and the development of a modern livable city.
Zhao Yongzhan, head of ABB's China Electrical Division, said that ABB will fully support the design and construction of Zhenjiang's low-carbon city solutions in the fields of clean energy, smart transportation, smart buildings and smart manufacturing, and strengthen in-depth cooperation with SMG Group on the construction of Zhenjiang's charging network. Yang Rong, head of sales of ABB's China Electrical Division, and Dong Zhihua, head of China's electric vehicle infrastructure business, attended the launch ceremony.
ABB is a global leader in electric vehicle charging infrastructure, having installed 11,000 DC fast chargers in 76 countries. In China, ABB actively works with partners to promote technological innovation and continuously improves its product portfolio to support China in building a sustainable transportation system for the future.
Zhenjiang Culture, Broadcasting and Television Industry Group, with its unique and novel media perspective, is committed to presenting all aspects of human life, enriching the cultural life of the masses, demonstrating the power of the media, and strengthening the cultural industry. In addition to the influence and recognition of cultural communication, the Cultural Broadcasting Group has been the organizer of the "International Low Carbon Conference" for three consecutive years. Over the years, it has promoted the concept of green and low carbon through news, exhibitions, and activities, and has made multi-dimensional efforts in low-carbon buildings, photovoltaic power generation, new energy charging stations and other fields to fully support Zhenjiang's carbon reduction and emission reduction work.
