On August 2, the Central Enterprises Help Qinghai Poverty Alleviation Promotion Conference was held in Xining, Qinghai. Hao Peng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, and Wang Jianjun, Secretary of the Qinghai Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee, attended the conference and delivered speeches. Liu Ning, Deputy Secretary of the Qinghai Provincial Party Committee and Governor, delivered a speech. Ren Hongbin, Deputy Director and Party Committee Member of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, presided over the meeting. Xin Baoan, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Group of State Grid Corporation of China, delivered a speech at the conference as a representative of central enterprises.
In his speech, Xin Baoan said that in recent years, State Grid Corporation of China has thoroughly studied and implemented General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on poverty alleviation work and the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspection of Qinghai, and has taken helping the country and Qinghai to fight poverty as a major political task. It has increased investment in grid transformation, promoted the export of Qinghai electricity, vigorously carried out talent assistance, and focused on targeted poverty alleviation, striving to make more contributions to poverty alleviation.
Xin Baoan said that State Grid Corporation of China will continue to support and serve the economic and social development of Qinghai, provide stable and reliable power guarantee for Qinghai's leapfrog development, help Qinghai win the battle against poverty and build a well-off society in an all-round way. First, we will fully serve the development of new energy in Qinghai. During the 13th Five-Year Plan period, the company plans to increase investment to help Qinghai's development and poverty alleviation, accelerate the construction of Qinghai-Henan UHV DC transmission and supporting projects, and promote the large-scale export of new energy in Qinghai; second, we will consolidate and expand the results of targeted poverty alleviation, maintain the support efforts, manage and use the photovoltaic poverty alleviation income well, continue to carry out the construction of clean heating demonstration projects, protect the ecological environment of the Three Rivers Source, and help Maduo County coordinate the development of ecological protection and poverty alleviation; third, we will strengthen the construction of power grids in the Tibetan areas of Qinghai, increase investment, and make up for the shortcomings of power grid construction in the Tibetan areas of Qinghai; fourth, we will strengthen talent assistance, implement targeted talent assistance measures, and select outstanding cadres to assist Qinghai.
