"In order to improve the efficiency of fault repair, during the summer, we arranged 102 fixed power distribution repair stations, 1,119 personnel, and 315 repair vehicles to be ready for emergency repair at any time." Li Congli, deputy director of the equipment department of State Grid Tianjin Electric Power Company (hereinafter referred to as "State Grid Tianjin Electric Power"), said. Summer is the peak period of urban electricity consumption, and power supply safety is directly related to all aspects of citizens' lives. Ensuring power supply safety has become an important issue for power companies to meet the peak summer demand. Recently, reporters learned from the "Entering the Ubiquitous Power Internet of Things" and the press conference on power supply guarantee during the peak summer demand held by State Grid Tianjin Electric Power that in order to maintain the stable operation of the power grid during the summer, State Grid Tianjin Electric Power has taken a number of measures such as equipment management, hidden danger investigation, and power grid transformation, and applied the ubiquitous power Internet of Things to ensure the safety of the power grid during the peak summer demand. At the same time, the widespread application of the ubiquitous power Internet of Things has also brought smart power grids into people's lives and built smart cities.

Ubiquitous power Internet of Things becomes a new highlight in the summer peak season

Reporters learned from the press conference that this summer, the load of the Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan power grid, where Tianjin Power Grid is located, is expected to reach 69 million kilowatts during the peak period, a year-on-year increase of 6.4%. Among them, Tianjin is expected to have a maximum load of 16.5 million kilowatts during the peak summer period, a year-on-year increase of 7.77%. The operation of the power grid is facing problems such as a significant increase in power grid load, tight power supply and demand in some periods, and equipment overload in some areas. "In order to ensure the safety of power supply during periods of high load, we built a 500 kV double-circuit line project from Beijing Xinhangcheng to Tianjin Nancai, improved the structure of Tianjin's power grid, and enhanced its external power supply capacity. We also built a 220 kV high-tech zone transmission and transformation project, a Yuyang station capacity expansion project, and Chunhua Road and Environmental Protection Park expansion projects to enhance the power supply capacity of the power grid. We completed the elimination of faults in power generation, transmission and transformation equipment ahead of schedule, completed 240 planned maintenance of main grid equipment, and 14 units were overhauled to ensure the safety of equipment in operation during the summer. We also strengthened emergency duty and emergency response, established and improved an emergency duty system, and established emergency mechanisms such as severe weather and flood alerts." said Wang Gang, director of the State Grid Tianjin Electric Power Control Center.

In addition, the establishment of the ubiquitous power Internet of Things is also a new highlight for this year's peak summer season. By applying modern information technologies such as mobile Internet, artificial intelligence, and advanced communication technologies, the ubiquitous power Internet of Things has realized the interconnection of all things in the power system and human-machine interaction. "Among them, the comprehensive development and utilization of clean energy, load demand response based on virtual power plants, and active distribution networks will respond faster in terms of power balance, equipment operation and maintenance, hidden danger investigation, situation awareness, and other aspects during the summer load peak, which can effectively alleviate the pressure on power grid operation. The Energy Big Data Center will also provide guidance and services for customers to use energy reasonably and save energy." Wang Gang said.

Smart meters help users understand their electricity consumption

Based on the ubiquitous power Internet of Things, State Grid Tianjin Power uses smart energy to support the construction of smart cities.

At the Smart Energy Town Exhibition Center on the second floor of the Integrated Energy Service Center, an intelligent measurement system displays a surveillance image of Room 701, Unit 2, Building 5, Talent Apartment on the right side of the screen, and an energy efficiency analysis chart of residential users on the left side, which clearly shows that the daily power consumption of the air conditioner accounted for 18.5% of the user's daily electricity consumption, with a corresponding electricity bill of 0.6 yuan, and the daily power consumption of the electric water heater accounted for 44.68%, with a corresponding electricity bill of 1.623 yuan. Through the intelligent measurement system, users can see at a glance the daily, weekly and monthly power consumption of different electrical appliances in their homes and their corresponding electricity bills. What kind of "black technology" is used in this?

"In the smart energy town, we have deployed new smart meters, which can obtain the real-time power and operation curves of each user's different devices." Yu Jiancheng, deputy director of the Internet + Department of State Grid Tianjin Power, said. Installing smart meters can help users understand the situation of electricity consumption by item, thereby reducing household electricity bills.

In addition to providing smart services such as intelligent measurement systems, the people's clean and green electricity, cheap and high-quality, convenient and flexible energy services will be connected to the smart grid. "In terms of clean and green electricity, new green energy such as photovoltaics, wind power, and ground source heat pumps are connected to the power grid in a friendly manner through the smart grid to achieve energy conservation and consumption, and provide green and clean energy for the people; in terms of cheap and high quality, new energy-saving equipment such as thermal storage electric heating is used to help urban and rural residents and public buildings such as schools create a coal-free living environment, and the integrated energy technology of the smart grid is applied to achieve energy conservation and consumption reduction in planning, operation, maintenance, trading and other aspects of energy use, and improve energy utilization. For example, the photovoltaic ground source heat pump developed by the Beichen Development Zone Management Committee in 2017 has saved 2.2 million kilowatt-hours of electricity in two years of operation, saving 1.5 million yuan and improving energy utilization efficiency by 19%; in terms of convenience and flexibility, through the 'Internet +' smart service, users will be able to query the water, gas, heat and electricity energy data at home in real time, and pay various energy bills with their mobile phones." Yu Jiancheng said.

Effective integration of smart grid and smart city

It is understood that in 2018, State Grid Tianjin Electric Power launched the "1001 Project", which included the demonstration of smart parks and smart energy towns. According to the regional energy characteristics and development trends such as high proportion of clean energy utilization and integrated energy services of electricity, cooling, heat and gas, the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Huifengxi Smart Energy Town and Beichen Industry-City Integration Zone Dazhangzhuang Smart Energy Town were established. In addition, State Grid Tianjin Electric Power also built the Binhai New Area "Two Networks Integration" Comprehensive Demonstration Project and Tianjin Energy Big Data Center. In this regard, Han Bing, general manager and deputy secretary of the Party Committee of State Grid Tianjin Electric Power, said: "Through the construction of the Binhai New Area's 'Two Networks Integration' Comprehensive Demonstration Project, we will improve the quality and efficiency of asset management, the level of power grid operation, the quality of customer service and promote the consumption of clean energy; the Tianjin Energy Big Data Center provides auxiliary services for corporate energy use by integrating energy, municipal, transportation, economic and other data."

"In general, smart grids support smart cities in six aspects. The first is smart sharing, which promotes the deep integration of energy equipment and urban infrastructure. Implement the "one pole for multiple uses" of streetlight poles and the "one tower for multiple uses" of transmission towers, expand the functions of urban monitoring, environmental monitoring, wireless pilot projects, charging facilities, etc.; pilot the construction of green energy public buildings, organically combining photovoltaic and other new energy equipment with public facilities such as roads, seats, buses, platforms, and trash cans. The second is smart energy supply, which promotes the establishment of a safe, efficient, clean and low-carbon energy supply system. Build a network-source-load-storage collaborative interactive system to achieve plug-and-play of urban distributed energy such as wind, light, and gas trigeneration, energy storage, and promote clean energy consumption and high-quality power supply. The third is smart energy use, which promotes the establishment of intelligent perception and multi-energy complementary energy use. System. Widely apply standardized collection and sensing equipment for multiple energies such as cold, hot and electric energy to enhance the perception ability of energy consumption. Fourth, smart home, promote the creation of convenient, comfortable, energy-saving and environmentally friendly home life. Promote new smart meters with functions such as load identification, power outage perception, and remote diagnosis, and realize household energy efficiency analysis, power outage notification, and error warning. Fifth, smart travel, promote the formation of widely covered, efficient and flexible charging services. While providing users with convenient and efficient charging services, pilot applications of new technologies such as high-power wireless charging and two-way interaction between electric vehicles and power grids. Sixth, smart services, promote the construction of a smart platform for comprehensive energy supply and data sharing. Build a smart energy comprehensive service platform to create a co-construction, sharing, and win-win 'energy Internet ecosystem'. "Han Bing said.
