On July 2, the State Grid Infrastructure Department learned that in the first half of this year, 26,485 kilometers and 171.21 million kilovolt-amperes of 110 kV and above power grid infrastructure projects of State Grid Corporation of China were put into operation, completing 53.3% and 61.3% of the annual tasks; 25,335 kilometers and 149.61 million kilovolt-amperes were started, completing 55.3% and 50.2% of the annual tasks. The completion ratio of construction and production reached the best level in the same period in history, and the construction started for the first time to achieve "half of the time and half of the task".
Since the beginning of this year, the company has implemented the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, accelerated the high-quality development of the power grid, and ensured that the peak summer projects were put into operation on time. A number of key projects such as the Zhoushan interconnection were put into operation on schedule to serve the local economic development; the 500 kV Fangshan-Tianjin Nancai project was completed in June to provide power guarantee for the Daxing New Airport; clean energy consumption projects such as the transmission of the Shaanxi North wind power base and the expansion of the Ningxia Taiyangshan main transformer were put into operation on schedule to ensure that the wind and solar power abandonment rate was controlled within 5%; 744 peak summer projects in areas with summer power shortages were accelerated to meet the electricity demand during the peak summer period; the construction of power grids in the "three regions and two states" and the impoverished areas in the central and western regions was fully started to help poverty alleviation and rural revitalization.
In the first half of the year, the State Grid Infrastructure Department took the solid promotion of the construction of ubiquitous power Internet of Things as a starting point, strengthened targeted investment, and promoted the early start, early operation, and early benefits of the company's annual construction projects; strengthened construction safety and quality control and supervision and inspection, deepened the implementation of supporting measures for infrastructure reform, and continuously consolidated inherent safety; implemented the ubiquitous power Internet of Things construction plan, accelerated the construction of a comprehensive digital management platform for the entire infrastructure process, and put the digital management application system of power grid projects into operation; formulated a "delegation, regulation, and service" list and tracked its implementation, sorted out the constraints that affect efficiency improvement, and effectively improved construction efficiency; carried out special inspections on the legal and compliant construction of transmission and transformation projects to ensure that power grid construction is in compliance with the law; implemented "party building + infrastructure" to ensure the smooth and orderly development of power grid construction.
The State Grid Development Department, Equipment Department, Material Department, and National Dispatching Center closely tracked the progress and ensured the smooth implementation of key projects. Relevant provincial power companies scientifically formulated plans and actively promoted the implementation of the project. The engineering design, construction, and supervision units worked together to provide important support for the smooth implementation of the project.
