This newspaper (reporter Duan Lixi) reports that a new technology is used to use the electricity stored in electric vehicles for emergency power supply to replace gasoline and diesel engines for power generation. Recently, a new technology that uses new energy vehicles for emergency power supply was unveiled in Shijiazhuang.

At the intersection of Kunlun Avenue and Yellow River Avenue in Shijiazhuang City, the reporter saw that technicians from the 91 power transmission network connected a wire on a small suitcase-style device to a new energy vehicle, and then connected another wire of the device to a box-type device on a roadside traffic light pole. As the technicians operated, the traffic lights lit up immediately, avoiding traffic chaos caused by power outages.

"We have independently developed 'new energy vehicles + V2G technology', which can immediately rush to places where emergency power supply is needed to provide timely power supply. At this time, the new energy vehicle is a micro power station that can move quickly." said Li Hangwei, general manager of 91 Power Supply Network.

At present, small diesel and gasoline generators are widely used for emergency power supply in scenarios such as government disaster recovery, industry emergency response, and mobile construction. Small photovoltaic signal lights are used as replacements for traffic lights after power outages. However, small diesel and gasoline generators generate noise and pollution emissions during operation, have low power generation efficiency, are inconvenient to move, and will cause the equipment to be idle when emergency power supply is not needed.

Drawing on the application and exploration of distributed energy storage using electric vehicles abroad, Zhang Chaohai, an expert in new energy application introduced by Shijiazhuang International Talent City, and his team have created a one-stop emergency energy platform for the 91 power grid, which uses "new energy vehicles + V2G technology" to replace small diesel and gasoline generators, realizing the use of electricity instead of oil. Currently, this new technology has been applied to dozens of intersections with heavy traffic in Shijiazhuang, as well as in the fields of communications, finance, and public security.

"We are developing a 'new energy + Internet' smart emergency big data platform. This year, we will jointly develop 'shared electricians' with Chery (Shijiazhuang) New Energy Vehicle, a key project introduced by Shijiazhuang Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park, and at the same time attract new energy vehicles from the society to join the platform. Once an intersection, communication base station, shop, bank, etc. needs emergency power supply, the 'shared electricians' nearby or with time can rush to the scene immediately. In this way, new energy vehicles are both a means of transportation and a production tool, which can bring double benefits to new energy vehicle users." Li Hangwei said that a "shared electrician" is a mobile power station that allows energy to flow and makes life smarter.
