A $15 million network of 21 ultra-fast charging stations will be built along major driving routes across Australia to boost the uptake of electric vehicles.

Australian startup Chargefox will build a new network of charging stations between Brisbane and Adelaide, around Sydney and Melbourne, and in Western Australia.

Once in place, EV drivers can charge their vehicles in just 15 minutes, meaning you no longer have to time long breaks like eating, not based on how hungry you are, but how much you need your EV's juice.

The distance between charging stations does not exceed 200 kilometers.

An app helps drivers locate and pay for charging stations, and the 150kW to 350kW power rating will make these chargers some of the fastest available in Australia.
