International Solar Photovoltaic Network News: Enphase Energy, Inc., a leading global supplier of solar microinverters, recently announced the launch of its seventh-generation Enphase IQ microinverters in Australia and New Zealand. The Australian and New Zealand markets currently offer Enphase's fifth-generation microinverter product S series, and will now directly transition to Enphase's seventh-generation microinverter product IQ 7.
"We are pleased to offer the IQ 7 microinverter to our Australian and New Zealand customers," said Nathan Dunn, General Manager of Enphase Energy Asia Pacific. "The IQ platform is a great fit for the local solar market as it allows for larger system sizes in a smaller footprint with 96.5% efficiency, creating more value for our customers." The IQ 7 microinverter offers state-of-the-art power performance with a light weight (1.08 kg) and a small form factor (212 mm x 175 mm x 30 mm). The IQ 7 microinverter is nearly half the weight of the Enphase S-Series microinverter.
The IQ 7 platform supports up to 440W solar panels and 60 and 72 cell modules. Enphase IQ 7 and IQ 7+ Micros have begun shipping in Australia and New Zealand, while the IQ 7X microinverter is expected to be available in the fourth quarter of 2018.
