Hello everyone, long time no see. As autumn and winter are coming, how can we properly maintain our photovoltaic power station to make us gain more benefits? How can we professionally patrol and inspect the inverter? What is the correct way to open the inspection inverter?
Don’t worry, the following is a gift package of common sense about inverter inspection and maintenance summarized by Xiaogu’s most experienced (countless mosts omitted here) technical service engineer. 【Inspection items】
1. Check whether the DC switch position is correct.
2. Check the operating parameters on the inverter display screen and whether there are any abnormal alarm displays.
3. Check whether the inverter installation environment is well ventilated. If it is installed indoors, the ambient temperature should not exceed 45°C. If it is installed outdoors, you can add a cover to the inverter.
4. Check whether the inverter external fan filter is blocked.
5. Check whether the inverter has any abnormal sound or smell.
6. Check whether the back plate is firm, whether the screws are loose, and whether the equipment is tilted or shaking.
【Inspection precautions】
1. Before inspecting the inverter, the DC input and AC grid must be disconnected, and the machine must not be touched for at least 10 minutes after disconnection to prevent electric shock.
2. When turning on (off) the inverter, you should turn on (off) the AC power first, then turn on (off) the DC power, and avoid turning on or off multiple devices at the same time.
3. When the inverter is running, the local temperature may exceed 60°C. Please do not touch it to avoid burns.
4. The PV terminals on the DC side of the inverter should be plugged with plugs when no strings are inserted to prevent moisture from entering the machine.
5. The USB port of the inverter and the RS485 port without a data cable inserted should have their waterproof covers fastened to prevent water from entering.
6. It is prohibited to open the top cover to inspect the device when the inverter is in operation.
7. Without the manufacturer's permission and professional guidance, it is prohibited to open the cover, remove the terminals or replace components, otherwise it may cause harm to the inverter or even personal injury.
[Inverter operating status]
The inverter has five operating states: waiting, self-test, grid-connected power generation, fault and shutdown.
After the PV is powered on, the display shows "Waiting". If there is a problem with the PV system, the machine will report an error message of "Fault". If the PV system is normal and there is AC power, the display will later show "Self-test 30S" and the machine will start self-test. After the self-test is completed, the display will show "Grid-connected Power Generation".
【Inverter start-up conditions】
1. The inverter DC switch is in the ON state.
2. There is sufficient sunlight to ensure that the DC input voltage is greater than the inverter starting voltage and less than the maximum DC input voltage, and the total DC short-circuit current is less than the maximum short-circuit current of the inverter.
3. The grid operates normally, i.e. the voltage and frequency of the grid remain within a specific range (the inverter parameters can be adjusted).
[Inverter shutdown conditions]
When the inverter is in the "Running" state, any of the following situations will cause the inverter to be in the "Stop" state.
1. The DC switch is in the OFF state.
2. The sunlight is weakened, so that the DC input does not meet the inverter startup conditions. 3. The inverter detects that the voltage or frequency of the power grid is abnormal, that is, it exceeds the operating range required by safety regulations.
4. The anti-backflow device operates and the AC side circuit breaker is disconnected, that is, the power grid is disconnected or lost.
