Work together to promote the sound and rapid development of energy internet

China Energy Storage Network : Energy is the material basis of human activities, and economic and social development cannot be separated from the support of energy. Energy Internet is the product of the deep integration of traditional energy industry and emerging Internet industry, and is an important direction for the future development of the energy field. The industry even compares Energy Internet to the "third energy revolution".

Energy Internet is still in its infancy worldwide, and China is almost in sync with the world in this field. From the "Guiding Opinions of the State Council on Actively Promoting the "Internet +" Action" issued by the state last year, to the "Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Development of "Internet +" Smart Energy" issued by the National Development and Reform Commission, the National Energy Administration, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in February this year, and the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" issued in March, all pointed out the need to strengthen the construction of Internet energy. In addition, with the issuance of multiple supporting documents, a good environment has been created for the development of energy Internet from the policy level and implementation level.

At present, my country has become the largest investor in renewable energy. With an investment growth rate of 20%, the added value of renewable energy and related industrial chains will exceed US$600 billion by 2020, and the market size of energy supply and new energy efficiency investment will reach US$300 billion. Energy Internet is an important strategic support for promoting my country's energy revolution. It is of great significance to increase the proportion of renewable energy, promote the clean and efficient use of fossil energy, improve the overall energy efficiency, promote the opening of the energy market and industrial upgrading, form new economic growth points, and enhance the level of international energy cooperation.

Although it is a new thing, the energy Internet is becoming a hot spot for enterprises to compete for layout. From distributed power generation, energy storage, smart microgrids, active distribution networks, flexible DC, smart grids, to the Internet of Things, big data, cloud computing, and new energy vehicles, charging piles, and time-sharing leasing, new technologies, new products, and new businesses are constantly emerging. At the same time, the national demonstration project on the energy Internet is progressing steadily. We can imagine that in the near future, energy consumers will be energy consumers and producers. In addition to meeting their own needs, the electricity they generate can also be sold online to make money.

It is undeniable that in the process of implementing the energy internet, there are still some issues to be clarified: the specific concept and connotation of the energy internet, clear reform measures and support policies, the improvement of technical means, and a clear business model.
