The 10th Plenary (Enlarged) Meeting of the 11th Committee of the Communist Party of China in Dadukou District was held on September 13, 2016. The meeting fully implemented the five development concepts, thoroughly implemented the spirit of the 9th Plenary Session of the 4th Municipal Party Committee, listened to and discussed the theme report made by Comrade Lu Jianhui on behalf of the District Party Committee Standing Committee, and reviewed the "Opinions on Deeply Implementing the Innovation-Driven Development Strategy to Accelerate the Development of Emerging Industries". The meeting determined to put "innovation and development" in the first place, take innovation as the new engine of Dadukou's development, and promote the development of emerging industries to a new level. At this meeting, in order to enhance the enthusiasm and initiative of Dadukou District's innovation and development: 22 personnel were successively awarded the title of "Yidu Talent" in 2016; 10 companies including Chongqing Terui Battery Materials Co., Ltd. were awarded the title of "Top Ten High-tech Enterprises"; and 10 companies were awarded the title of "Top Ten Innovative and Entrepreneurial Enterprises".
Chongqing Terry Battery Materials Co., Ltd. won the honorary title of "Top Ten High-tech Enterprises". This honor shows Terry's outstanding contribution to Dadukou District and the importance and support of the Dadukou District Government to Terry. As an enterprise, we should actively adapt to the new normal of economic development, continuously strengthen the driving force of innovation, continuously improve the quality and efficiency of economic development, make persistent efforts, forge ahead, and create more achievements.
The meeting believes that during the 13th Five-Year Plan period, the significant feature of my country's economic development is that it has entered a new normal, and the driving force of development has shifted from relying mainly on inputs of factors such as resources and low-cost labor to innovation-driven development. At present, our region is in a critical period of transformation and development. Problems such as insufficient innovation motivation, insufficient innovation resources, weak industrial support, and inactive systems and mechanisms still exist. The fundamental way out to solve the difficulties of transformation and development and improve the quality and efficiency of development is to rely on innovation to create a new development engine. We must accurately grasp the general trend and overall situation of development, further deepen our understanding of innovation-driven development, enhance the sense of urgency to accelerate innovation and development, insist on placing innovation and development in a more prominent position, strive to create new driving forces for innovation and development, and promote the development of emerging industries to a new level.
