China Energy Storage Network News : On August 31, the 2016 China Energy Internet Summit was held in Beijing. Many academic authorities attended the meeting and delivered speeches, talking about their research experience on the theory and practice of China's energy Internet. The reporter sorted out the core views of several experts at the meeting for readers.

Han Yingduo: Energy Internet will bring disruptive impact

"Energy Internet will improve in many aspects such as distribution and use." Han Yingduo, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and director of the Power Electronics Engineering Research Center of Tsinghua University, believes that smart grid is to maximize the use of advanced computer communication network sensor control technology for electricity, maximize equipment efficiency, improve safety and reliability, save energy and reduce emissions, improve power supply quality, and increase the utilization rate of renewable energy. Energy Internet is an extension and important part of smart grid.

What is the difference between the energy internet and the traditional energy grid? Han Yingduo believes that the first is multi-energy. For example, in the past, electricity and heat were under different jurisdictions and networks, but now it is multi-energy coordination. The second is load balancing. The energy internet can bring about load balancing and various efficiencies, and its advantages are very obvious.

The second is the coordinated optimization of multiple energy sources.

As an emerging industry, energy Internet has powerful internal and external driving forces. Once demonstrated, a blowout situation is bound to emerge.

"The combination of energy storage technology and solar energy technology, under the influence of distribution and power generation, may be comparable to the disruptive impact caused by the Internet. I think the impact of energy Internet on energy production and consumption is also disruptive. This is a forward-looking technology and industry. At the same time, it can also be foreseen that many traditional industries will be disrupted and eliminated." Han Yingduo said.

Xu Songlin: Building energy internet requires standards first

Xu Songlin, deputy secretary-general of the China Electricity Council and director of the Standard Management Center, believes that standardization is necessary for the large-scale development of the energy Internet. In 2018, the energy Internet technical standard system will be initially established, and a number of technical specifications and standards will be formed. By 2025, the energy Internet industry system will be initially established, and a relatively complete technology and standard system will be formed to promote the development of the energy Internet in an internationally guided practice. It can be seen that a standardized and unified standard system is the basic condition to support the development of the energy Internet and an important guarantee for the construction of a complex system of the energy Internet.

Xu Songlin also believes that standardization is an inherent need of the technical characteristics of the Energy Internet. The Energy Internet is a deep integration of the Internet with energy production, energy transmission, energy storage, energy consumption and the market. The Energy Internet covers many disciplines, and to play a role, it is necessary to open up channels in all links.

"Energy Internet was proposed in recent years and is a new industry." Xu Songlin said that our country used to follow others and adopt international standards, but we have advantages in smart energy and the project is progressing quickly. Therefore, we must take the initiative to participate in the formulation of international standards, and even lead the formulation of international standards to enhance our country's international status, so standards need to come first.

Fan Bi: The Internet has not yet changed China's energy

The Internet has fundamentally changed production and lifestyles. So how far is energy from the Internet? Fan Bi, an inspector of the General Affairs Department of the State Council Research Office, believes that one conclusion is that the Internet has changed the world, but it has not changed China's energy. Foreign energy has changed a little, but it has not changed completely.

"From the perspective of production methods, energy is still far from achieving the production methods of the Internet world. Whether it is electricity or oil and gas, it is generally centralized and standardized, transported over long distances, and manufactured in factories. At the same time, compared with the Internet, energy has the characteristics of slow technological updates, single distribution methods, and backward transaction methods." Fan Bi also said that Internet payment has brought low costs. But energy is still high-cost overall. For example, electricity bill payment has not seen the same blowout development as Internet finance and the entire e-commerce.

What energy problems can China solve through energy internet? Fan Bi said that one is the problem of extensive energy. Our unit energy consumption is higher than the global average. We are still in the coal era, not the oil and gas era. Another problem is the failure of price levers and the lack of consumer choice.

So what can the energy Internet do? Fan Bi believes that through "Internet +" smart energy, it may be possible to improve energy efficiency, promote energy quality, flexibly adjust energy supply and demand, and at the same time improve energy economy and meet diversified consumer needs.
