Ichigo ECO Energy (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo), a subsidiary of Ichigo Group Holdings, announced that it had acquired a 0.9MW photovoltaic power plant operating in Kijo Town, Koyu District, Miyazaki Prefecture on May 27. The power plant was built on idle land owned by Kijo Town.
3,584 solar panels were installed on the 9,621m2 site. The power generation capacity is enough to meet the needs of about 300 ordinary households. It started operation in April 2014. With the acquisition of IchigoECOEnergy, the power station name was changed to "Ichigo Kijo Takagi ECO Power Station".
The EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) service is provided by TESSENGINEERING, the solar panels are products of Hanwha Q-Cells Japan, and the photovoltaic inverter (PCS) is manufactured by Toshiba Mitsubishi Electric Industrial Systems (TMEIC).
Ichigo ECO Energy started operating two photovoltaic power plants in July. Together with the power plants acquired this time, as of July 11, it has a total of 30 photovoltaic power plants with a total output of approximately 49MW. By fiscal 2018 (ending February 2019), it is planned to operate 36 photovoltaic power plants with a total output of approximately 113MW.
