China Energy Storage Network: According to foreign media reports on March 30, Liu Zhenya, Chairman of State Grid Corporation of China, delivered a speech in Beijing. State Grid called for global energy interconnection and promoted cross-border interconnection of power grids by 2030.

Previously, Liu Zhenya, Chairman of the State Grid Corporation of China, said that the conditions for building a global energy internet are in place, and once built, the economic benefits will be huge. He pointed out that electricity-centered will be the basic pattern of energy development, clean energy will inevitably replace fossil energy, and energy use will eventually be electrified. The power grid is becoming a platform for the development, configuration, and use of various types of energy, and the energy internet must be an interconnected power grid.

Liu Zhenya stressed that the Global Energy Internet is a major innovation in the energy field in the 21st century. It is not only a carrier of energy such as electricity, but also a carrier of information, technology, services, and civilization, which will profoundly change the world's energy development pattern. He proposed to build a global energy Internet development cooperation platform, jointly carry out research on major issues, and start a number of major demonstration projects as soon as possible.

Li Ronghua, deputy chief accountant of State Grid Corporation of China, said that the global energy internet contains huge commercial value and broad investment opportunities. It is expected that by 2050, when it is initially completed, the cumulative investment will exceed 50 trillion US dollars, giving rise to many infrastructure industries. Its investment value mainly comes from the power development sector, power grid construction sector and equipment, scientific research and emerging industry sectors. A-share listed companies such as Sungrow Power Supply, Linyang Electronics, and Rainbow Fine Chemicals are involved in energy internet-related businesses.
