Sri Lanka is located in the tropics, with summer all year round, and the average temperature in coastal areas is 31.3℃. There are no four seasons, only the difference between the rainy season and the dry season. In 2014 alone, Sri Lanka's electricity sector consumed 66.16 billion rupees (about 3 billion yuan). With the rapid growth of population and the acceleration of industrialization, Sri Lanka's electricity demand has increased sharply, with an average annual growth rate of 6-8%. In recent years, the Sri Lankan government has continuously increased its investment in renewable energy, and it is expected that by 2020, Sri Lanka plans to achieve a renewable energy share of 20%.
