The 60MW fishery-photovoltaic complementary project in the first phase of Fanchang uses outdoor centralized inverters, which is currently the largest photovoltaic grid-connected project in the world built using outdoor centralized inverters. In December 2015, with the grid connection and official operation of the 60MW fishery-photovoltaic complementary project in the first phase of Fanchang, it marked the successful grid connection of the world's largest fishery-photovoltaic complementary project built using outdoor centralized inverters, and ushered in a new era of new centralized inverter technology in the field of green energy technology.

This project uses Delta Electronics' outdoor 500kW IP65 protection grade centralized inverter, which has won unanimous praise from customers for its unique design concept and superior anti-corrosion performance. Compared with other traditional thermal power generation methods, this project has a cumulative power generation of about 1.5 billion kWh, saving 570,000 tons of standard coal, reducing carbon dioxide by about 1.5 million tons, reducing sulfur dioxide by about 14,000 tons, and reducing dust emissions by about 4,000 tons, which has huge environmental benefits.

As the name suggests, the complementary use of fish and photovoltaic power stations is to build photovoltaic power stations on the fish ponds, which can take into account both power generation and fish farming, making full use of local land resources, and the social benefits are very obvious. The environment of this project is humid all year round and highly corrosive, so the "Delta outdoor 500kW IP65 protection grade centralized inverter" is specially selected to be directly installed outdoors, rather than using the traditional container or machine room installation mode. First, it effectively solves the problem of environmental corrosion. The inverter adopts a two-layer shell structure design. The outermost layer is a combination of aluminum alloy and powder paint, which can be used in harsh salt spray and high humidity environments; the inner layer is made of hot-dip galvanized steel plate to improve stability; second, the inverter has a long life cycle. The use of electronic components with IP65 protection grade for independent space design can effectively suppress the interference of external dust, salt spray, high temperature and high humidity on electronic components, and is not affected by heat dissipation airflow, ensuring the long life of electronic components; third, it ensures system efficiency and quality. All are designed with imported high-precision electronic components, and are backed by Delta's nearly 40 years of experience in using IGBTs (insulated gate bipolar transistors); Fourth, it helps customers effectively save costs. The inverter integrates an AC/DC cabinet, is small in size (1,600mm x 1,950mm x 800mm), occupies a small area, is light in weight (1,280Kg), and can be easily transported by a forklift, saving both the transportation and labor costs of on-site installation and reducing the cost of infrastructure construction.

The project covers a total area of about 1,600 acres of water surface and tidal flats. After the project is fully completed and put into operation, it is expected to achieve an annual power generation of 65 million kWh. While achieving economic benefits, it will also play a very positive role in improving the comprehensive utilization rate of resources and improving the ecological environment, and lay a solid foundation for Delta's subsequent entry into the "fish-light complementary" industry.
