On August 18, China's largest lithium battery project to date, the "AVIC Lithium-ion Power Battery Project", was signed and settled in the development zone.
The total investment of the project is 12.5 billion yuan, with a planned land area of 1,000 mu. The project will be built in three phases, starting before November 30, 2015, in 2016, and in 2017. After completion, the project will have an annual production capacity of 12 billion watt-hours of lithium-ion power batteries, becoming my country's largest green power industrial park with obvious leading advantages, and playing an important supporting role in the construction of "Made in China 2025" and "Jiangsu Manufacturing Power Province".
The project is a major measure to implement the "Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement on Jointly Promoting the Development of High-end Equipment Manufacturing Industry" between the Aviation Industry Corporation of China and the Jiangsu Provincial Government. In order to speed up the construction of the project and promote the rapid development and growth of the green power industry, the two parties have reached a cooperation model of joint investment, shared benefits and shared risks. Jiangsu Province has given priority support to the project, incorporated the content of the cooperation into the regional development plan, and promoted the gathering of green power projects in the province to the Science and Technology Park. AVIC has listed the Science and Technology Park as an important carrier base for the green power industry, and has given strong support in terms of project layout and capital operation. The two parties will cooperate to introduce well-known domestic and foreign positive and negative electrode materials, diaphragm materials, electrolytes, energy storage and other research and development and production companies and other related companies to settle in, and jointly create a first-class domestic and foreign green power technology park with highly concentrated industries, mutual complementation and coordinated development.
