On the afternoon of October 12, 2015, the Hunan Automobile Industry Association held a symposium on the quarterly economic operation of the automobile industry in the province at BYD Auto Co., Ltd. in Changsha. The meeting was chaired by Ma Xiangbin, executive vice president of the association, and attended by Yin Linbo, deputy director of the Provincial Economic and Information Commission, Ma Tianyi, director of the Equipment Department, and Peng Bin, deputy director, and other relevant department leaders. The 17 participating automobile companies and related parts companies in the province made brief speeches on their respective production, operation and sales, existing difficulties and problems, and the company's "13th Five-Year Plan" and other aspects, and put forward many policy suggestions and requirements for the development of the industry. Our company was invited to participate in this symposium as a key parts company.

From the speeches of representatives of various automobile companies, we learned that China's automobile industry, as a major automobile manufacturing country, is now facing tremendous pressure from declining sales and lowering fuel standards. According to the fourth-stage fuel consumption standard for passenger cars of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the average fuel consumption of new passenger cars in 2020 must reach 5.0L/100KM. Now large vehicles such as SUVs are showing a hot sales trend, which is not only a powerful measure for many automakers to boost weak sales, but also the main reason for the slow decline in fuel consumption values, which puts automobile manufacturers in a dilemma. To this end, various companies have adopted various new technologies to reduce fuel consumption, and have proposed to break through and find a way out in the areas of new energy vehicles and parts technology innovation.

Chairman Huang Haoyu said at the meeting that the car start-stop system and the "tailor-made" pure electric bus power storage system developed by our company are key components of automobiles and new energy vehicles. Naipun will maintain close contact with the automotive industry to provide technical innovation support for key components for various automakers. While developing together, it will contribute its own strength to the development of the automobile industry in our province.

Deputy Director Yin Linbo concluded: The overall profits of the automobile industry are declining, and the pressure of profitability is increasing. All automobile manufacturers are also facing a common problem, that is, how to ensure production and sales while meeting the requirements of the state's policies on fuel consumption standards. At present, the development of new energy vehicles may be the most effective way. The policy department will further open up relevant policies such as new energy subsidies, set up a government fast procurement procedure, release the motivation of automobile companies to upgrade to new energy, and further accelerate Hunan's automobile companies to enter the track of new energy vehicle production.

At present, the construction of key technologies and basic supporting facilities for new energy vehicles is relatively weak, such as power battery systems and charging pile construction. Deputy Director Yin Linbo emphasized that the technological innovation of parts manufacturers plays a vital role in the development of new energy vehicles. The power system is the key technology of new energy vehicles. The innovation of supercapacitors, batteries and other technologies can provide basic support for the next development of the automotive industry. Parts manufacturers should not only deepen cooperation with vehicle manufacturers but also strengthen exchanges between parts manufacturers. Industry associations and relevant policy departments will also play a good role as a bridge and link, build a good platform, optimize industrial policies, and make every effort to create a good development environment for the development of new energy vehicles, create a landmark industrial cluster in Hunan, build a strong automobile province, and promote China from an automobile power to an automobile power.
