Huang Haoyu, Chairman of the Board, Liu Jibo, Vice President of Production Technology, and Xiao Xiaofei, General Manager, warmly received the visiting leaders.
On the afternoon of October 10, Ma Xiangbin, Executive Vice President of Hunan Automobile Industry Association, and Yang Lichun, Secretary General, visited our company. Huang Haoyu, Chairman of the Company, Liu Jibo, Vice President of Production Technology, and Xiao Xiaofei, Assistant to the General Manager, warmly received the visiting leaders. After visiting the workshop, Chairman Huang Haoyu introduced the production and operation of our company and key core technologies in detail, and gave a detailed explanation of the application of supercapacitors in automobiles. The visiting leaders gave high praise and showed great interest in the automobile start-stop system and pure electric supercapacitor buses. They believed that the development prospects of supercapacitors in the automotive field are very broad and will be very promising.
The car start-stop system uses the high-power charging and discharging characteristics of power-type supercapacitors. When the car encounters a traffic jam or stops at a traffic light, the engine stops running. When it needs to be restarted, the supercapacitor can quickly start the engine, greatly reducing the emission of carbon dioxide and PM2.5 particles. At the same time, the potential energy generated by the car's braking can be recovered by the supercapacitor and all used for the power supply needs of the car's air conditioning, radio, headlights, starting, etc., which can further reduce the car's fuel consumption. The efficiency of supercapacitors in energy feedback is unmatched by other products. President Ma suggested increasing the promotion of supercapacitor car start-stop systems, connecting with various local automobile manufacturers in Hunan, and entering the market as soon as possible. He also invited our company to participate in the symposium on the economic operation situation of the province's automobile industry held by the Hunan Automobile Industry Association on October 12.
As for the solution that supercapacitors can be "tailor-made" for electric buses as a power system, he praised it, saying that it can greatly reduce the manufacturing cost of electric buses. Chairman Ma expressed great concern about the current endurance of electric vehicles, and frankly said that the endurance of electric buses is a vicious way, which will cause greater waste of resources. The lithium batteries and lithium iron phosphate batteries commonly used in the power system of pure electric buses have a cycle life of only about 2,000 times (need to be replaced in about 2 years), a charging time of 6 hours, and a safety hazard of explosion. In comparison, the energy-type supercapacitors produced by our company have an energy density of 80Wh/kg and an internal resistance of 0.6 mΩ. It only takes 15 minutes to fully charge. The cycle life at room temperature is as high as 20,000-30,000 times, which is more than ten times that of the former, which is synchronized with the life of the car. It also has the advantages of fast charging speed, high output power, no explosion safety hazard, green environmental protection and no pollution.
Chairman Ma believes that supercapacitors are in line with the country's macroeconomic policy on the transformation and upgrading of the automobile industry to new energy, and can actively promote the integration of the automobile industry with the national strategic development direction of energy conservation and emission reduction in the "two-oriented society". He also gave two suggestions: First, make good preparations in the company's own technology research and development, technical solutions, and staffing, and use the company's mature supercapacitor technology to be ready for in-depth and extensive cooperation with automobile manufacturers. Second, make good use of the resources of the automobile market in the province (the annual automobile production in Hunan Province in 2013 has reached 690,000 vehicles, and the production capacity will reach more than 1 million vehicles in 2016), strengthen exchanges and cooperation with related automobile manufacturers in the province, join the new energy automobile industry innovation alliance, and jointly apply for scientific and technological innovation projects with automobile companies, support each other, and promote the development of the new energy automobile industry.
