Vacon (HEL: VAC1V), a global manufacturer of AC drives, has started producing inverters for solar power generation at its factory in India, which was inaugurated in 2011. In April this year, Vacon started final assembly of solar inverters at its factory in Bangalore.
Vacon solar inverters are rated from 10 to 1200kW and are cabinet-mounted systems based on Vacon's AC drive technology. Vacon's Bangalore factory manufactures products suitable for 10 to 200kW and 1000kW power, and their main market is India.
Jari Marjo, Vacon's Director of Solar Product Marketing, said: "The solar power market in India is developing rapidly and at the same time, the requirements are also evolving. Expanding the production of solar inverters in India firstly enables us to deliver them quickly and within the delivery time. In addition, we can also better meet local needs."
