It is predicted that by 2020, the market size of Chongqing's lithium battery industry will reach 200 billion yuan. By 2020, Chongqing Liangjiang New Area's automobile industry will have a production capacity of 3 million to 4.5 million vehicles, of which new energy electric vehicles will reach more than 1.5 million. Together with 20,000 electric buses, the market size of its supporting batteries will exceed 100 billion yuan. At the same time, Chongqing is building the world's largest notebook computer production base, with an output of more than 100 million units, of which the market size of a single battery alone exceeds 80 billion yuan.
The development of the lithium battery industry faces multiple constraints such as high technical barriers and lack of overall performance, which need to be addressed urgently.
