TE Relay Division of TE Connectivity recently launched an innovative small-size power relay for use in photovoltaic inverters of modern photovoltaic power generation systems. PCFN power relays can smoothly transmit solar energy to the power grid. In an emergency, these devices will cut off the connection between the photovoltaic power generation system and the national power grid in accordance with today's safety regulations.

The PCFN power relay features a low holding power of only 200mW, a coil power of 1.5W, a contact gap of 1.5mm and a rated current of 26A. The PCFN solar relay benefits from a one-pole, one-N/O contact construction and requires only 510mm² of PCB space. It has an operating temperature range of -25 to 75 degrees Celsius (up to 85 degrees Celsius at 22A) and is fully RoHS compliant.
