New Solar Energy launches new monocrystalline cell with efficiency reaching 19%

On the 4th of this month, New Solar Technology (NSP) launched a new generation of low-cost and high-efficiency monocrystalline solar cells called "Perfect19". The product is currently on display at the PVTaiwan exhibition held in Taipei, Taiwan from the 5th to the 7th of this month. New Solar Technology said that the conversion efficiency of its 6-inch cell can reach 19%, which is the highest level of commercial mass-produced solar cells at present.

The "Perfect19" cell uses square monocrystalline silicon wafers, and the power generation area is more than 2% larger than that of traditional corner-cut monocrystalline cells. With this cell, component customers can obtain superior power generation. According to estimates of 60 and 72 solar cell modules embedded in the "Perfect19" monocrystalline cell, the modules can output 260W and 315W of electricity respectively. The cell has a square shape and uniform appearance color, which is very suitable for photovoltaic building integration (BIPV) terminals with high aesthetic requirements.

"Our industry-leading launch of the 'Black19' series at the Intersolar Show in Hamburg, Germany this year was a significant technological achievement," said Lin Kunxi, Chairman of New Solar Energy. "Its significance lies in our ability to produce high-efficiency cells using traditional low-cost production equipment. We believe that the launch of this new product will provide our customers with a perfect choice that meets both high efficiency and aesthetic requirements."
