PPG and JE Berkowitz Launch New Window Retrofit System

Recently, the well-known glass manufacturer JEBerkowitz and PPG Group reached an agreement to launch a window modification system (RBB), which can convert single-layer ordinary glass into three-layer energy-saving insulating glass, while the cost is significantly lower than ordinary glass replacement and modification.

The retrofit system features JEBerkowitz's innovative Platinum Plus technology, a patented technology that seals PPG's IGUs, low-e solar argon-filled glass, into existing monolithic glass.

This retrofit system will add two layers of low-emissivity coating to the existing single-pane glass, which can increase the heat absorption value by up to six times compared to ordinary glass in winter and reduce heat energy by about 65% in summer, reducing cooling and heating energy consumption by an average of 20%-25% throughout the year.

Compared with traditional methods, this system not only reduces energy consumption and modification costs, but also effectively reduces noise absorption and increases safety. It can also provide users with value-added benefits such as tax credits and utility tax refunds.

The installation system, jointly launched by JEBerkowitz and PPG Group, will be promoted in a variety of ways, sold and installed by reliable certified dealers and installers, and will be backed by a ten-year warranty from JEBerkowitz.
