On June 28, the "International New Energy Market Series Lectures on National Solar Energy Applications in Medium and High-Rise Buildings" with the theme of "Improving Application Level and Promoting Building Energy Saving" was held in Nanjing.

After more than 30 years of development, China's solar thermal utilization industry has matured its products and technologies, and its application scope has also extended from domestic hot water to hotels, schools, hospitals, industrial and agricultural production, and real estate projects. Large-scale solar water heating projects continue to emerge in China, such as the 15,000 square meter printing and dyeing factory project in Xiaoshan, Zhejiang, and the swimming pool project of Nanchang University. In recent years, the solar water heating project market has developed rapidly, and the majority of enterprises and dealers have also paid more and more attention to the development of the project market, which will surely become a new highland for the solar thermal utilization industry.

At present, the technology of solar thermal utilization is basically mature, and the conditions for promoting the application of solar water heating systems are becoming more and more perfect, but the application of solar energy in medium and high-rise buildings has become a "hard ice" to be broken. As an environmentally friendly and energy-saving solar thermal utilization product, it is undoubtedly one of the effective means to achieve the goal of building energy conservation and emission reduction. How to resolve this contradiction has become one of the focal issues in the development of the solar thermal utilization industry.
